NWA Atlanta Wargames 4/27/13

NWA Atlanta had a big Wargames event last night at Stockbridge Middle School. The place was packed, but it felt less like a crowd ready for a wrestling match, and more like a crowd ready to watch a theatrical performance. It took them a while to get into the action. The wrestlers put on a good show, but I don't believe they connected well with the audience to draw them into what went on in the ring.

The first match was a fatal four way style gauntlet match. It began with Drew Adler, Zack Edwards, Matt Sells, and Shaun Banks. As each person got eliminated, another would take his place. Matt Sells and Drew Adler tried hard to work up the crowd upon their entrances. Zack Edwards trash talked and stood on the ring post trying to gauge how much the crowd hated him. Shaun Banks comes out and swivels his hips and the women all take out their phones to take pictures of him. Edwards was eliminated first, and he was replaced by Marko who essentially is pretty and he knows it. Matt Sells was eliminated soon after, and he was replaced by this small masked wrestler who I believe was named El Guapo. He lasted only a few minutes, and was immediately replaced by Fry Daddy. Shaun Banks was eliminated and replaced by the teenager Kody Jack. Fry Daddy ended up besting all his opponents and winning the Metro Atlanta Extreme Championship.

The BFF's fought the team known as Totally Insane next. The BFF's won this one.

The next match was a loser has to wear a dress match. Mike Cannon fought Kurt Kilgore. Kurt Kilgore is the manager of the main heel faction Prince Akbar and his Afghan Assassins. He yells insults at the audience and they yell back. A little girl who was sitting behind me told me how much she hates him. Her mother explained that one time they sat on the front row. The little girl was yelling in Kilgore's face and waving a glow stick at him. He took the glow stick and snapped it in half, so now he's got a hater for life. Kilgore got his Afghan assassin friends to come out and beat up Mike Cannon. They put the dress on Mike Cannon and put on their little headdresses and left. I give Kilgore a lot of credit for firing up the crowd against his faction. An old man attempted to hit him with a cane as he left the ringside area.

The next match was a triple threat match for the NWA Atlanta Championship. Bill the Butcher, Pain, and AJ Steele competed for this honor. Bill the Butcher and Pain have a very cool looking gimmick. They wear black and look a lot like Road Warriors.  Bill the Butcher and Pain are accompanied by Jersey Girl, who is essentially a Snookie wannabe. The crowd did pop for AJ Steele upon his entrance. The action spilled out of the ring several times. When the action spills out of the ring, please stay in your seat. Don't follow the action. AJ Steele retained his title.

The main event was the War Games match. Akbar and his Afghan assassins took on Rick Michaels, Simon Sermon, Bobby Hayes, and Fry Daddy. Fry Daddy never made it out to the ring because the minions beat him up. The patriot also got beat up before he was able to make it out to the ring. The crowd yelled USA during the War games match to cheer on The Patriot. Rick Michaels used a chair effectively to crunch a guy's crotch. Finally, as it looked like our heroes were going to be overwhelmed, Andy and Axl Anderson returned to save the day. Prince Akbar tapped to a move similar to the sharpshooter.

NWA Atlanta has their next event May 11th in Locust Grove.

PCW 4/20/13

Platinum Championship Wrestling put on a great show in Porterdale, GA. The crowd was on fire, and the building was packed.

Demigod Mason returned this week in action against JAM, Coach Fred Avery's minion. Mason won the match. Coach is very disappointed in his minion. No idea if he plans on firing him or not. Coach needs to get rid of that whistle, stop calling time outs, and focus on really training his minions.

Tag team action was hot in Porterdale this week.  3 matches on the card were tag team contests. Geter and Brian Blaze took on a new team called The Movement. The Movement was accompanied by Priority Males manager Quasi Mandisco. The crowd reluctantly supported Geter and Blaze which led to chants of "Let's go Brian, This is awkward" and "Lesser Evil." Geter and Blaze won the match.

Sylar Cross and Chip Day took on God's Gift to Wrestling. The audience yelled Gut Check Reject at Adams, who is actually in the voting bracket for TNA Gutcheck. He's in bracket 15 which will be voted on in late May. Check Impactwrestling.com to vote for him and other Gut Check contestants. Sylar and Chip got the win here, and the audience roared in approval.

.Worst Case Scenario took on the Washington Bullets. Porterdale loves the Bullets. Worse case scenario cheated to get the win during this match.

The highlight of the evening was the main event match between Supernatural and Jagged Edge. Miss Rachel hit Supernatural with a chair, but Supernatural managed to kick out. Jagged Edge hit him with a chain, but he managed to kick out. Every thing the wicked Jagged Edge tried to do him could not keep him down. When Rachel interfered, an old lady in the audience got up in her face, and security had to intervene. I cannot stress this enough, when you are at a wrestling show, you can say whatever you want to the talent, but you cannot touch them. They are not supposed to touch you either. Scream, yell, insult, but don't put your hands on anyone. Supernatural retained his PCW title showing that size and strength are less important than perseverance and heart.

Pro Wrestling Resurrection ACS Charity/Free show 4/14/13

Pro Wrestling Resurrection is moving their weekly Friday show to Sundays at 3pm in the Mega Mart in Gainesville. The Mega Mart is a flea market that sells clothes, shoes, toys, and electronics, and PWR has their wrestling arena in the back of the flea market. To celebrate their move to Sunday afternoon, they had a free show. They sold baked goods and raffle tickets to benefit the American Cancer Society. The show was packed, and hopefully it wasn't just because it was free.

PWR did a great job today trying to connect with the audience. The show was fun from start to finish. The opening contest between Jacob Ashworth and Kevin Blue featured a lot of good wrestling. It ended in a time out draw.   Rick Michaels and Supernatural put on a match with a lot of great comedy spots in it. Chris Damian retained his championship and had the entire audience behind him chanting USA.

The main event featuring the Rock and Roll models against members of the Reckoning was great. I now refer to the Reckoning as "the bronies" mostly because of Zach Daniels and his partner's vibrant colored ring gear. Zack Daniels is Twilight Sparkle, his partner is Rainbow Dash, Rick Michaels is Pinkie Pie (he happened to be wearing pink today), and Jacob Ashworth is Applejake (Applejack). They don't have a Fluttershy or a Rarity.  The main event ended in an all out brawl that left the crowd wanting more.

If PWR can continue with this momentum, they won't have any trouble maintaining a good crowd. I plan on attending again very soon.

UIW Redemption March 16, 2013----Why did he turn on us?

This is the first show I've attended at Villa Rica's Bay Springs Middle School. I was impressed with the seating. I was on the bleachers and could see all the in ring action perfectly. The Bay City Psychos played as pre-show entertainment. They did a pretty good job of psyching up the crowd. If I have any issue with a band being at a show like this, it's mostly that live music tends to drown out conversation opportunities. I go to shows as much to socialize as I do to watch wrestling. This crowd was the largest crowd I'd seen for an independent show that I've attended. I think it drew well because of the guest stars and the quality of the card. I think the intergender street fight was the coolest idea for a main event.

The first match featured Marvelous Michael Stevens of the BFF's, accompanied by his partner Adorable Anthony Andrews, against Drew Adler. As usual, the BFF's tried to cheat. While the referee's back was turned, Anthony hit Drew aiding Michael in landing his attack. Michael did miss a moonsault allowing Adler to capitalize. Drew did a flip to the outside of the ring and knocked down both the BFF's. Drew finally won on a roll up after the BFF's tried to cheat again. I think Drew Adler is one of the best up and coming talents that UIW has on its roster right now, and I definitely want to see more from him.

The second match featured Mercenary, the one man army against Dixie Dynamite Billy Knight. This match was a little slowly paced. Mercenary got disqualified when the So-Fine Mafia interfered. They beat Billy Knight down, and Frankie Valentine and Josh Storm came out to his rescue. Frankie Valentine tells Peanut to shut his mouth. He also called him a loser. A lady in the audience yelled at So Fine Mafia as they exited "We don't need any of your kind here."

Wicked Nemesis came out with Chris Knox, and he said "All you simpleton sheeple need to stop for a minute and realize what you see before you." He called the Empire a cancer. and he said "We are not going to sit idly by and let the Empire take over this promotion. Give us a match with anybody." Out comes Johnny Swinger of TNA, WWE, ECW, and WCW fame to answer their challenge.  Nemesis tried to interfere in the match, and he was knocked off the ring apron inadvertently by Knox as Swinger evaded Knox's attack. Johnny Swinger won the match, and he attacked Wicked Nemesis after the match. The whole crowd chanted "You got beat!" at Knox and Nemesis. I'm not sure how I feel about the Merchants of Death trying to take out the Empire. They aren't doing it for any noble reason. They simply want to be in control themselves. I am curious to see who ends up in control of UIW if the Empire and the MOD are both fighting for supremacy.  The rest of UIW needs to band together to control these factions.

The next match was a four way elimination match for the U.S. Heavyweight Championship belt which was previously held by Rob Adonis who had to retire because of an injury. Stupid accompanied by Tweety, Hit for Hire Bobby Moore, Jailhouse Rocker Terry Lawler, and Awesome T.C. accompanied by Awesome Brandon McClure fought for this title. There was a lot of funny stuff in this match. Terry Lawler was the first eliminated. T.C. did a sidewalk slam to Bobby Moore, but Stupid stole the pin to eliminate Bobby Moore. Stupid tapped to T.C.'s submission move that I feel resembles a scorpion death lock. (feel free to correct me because I call moves wrong all the time). T.C. wins the title. He gives a heartfelt thank you speech to his fans, to his manager Brandon.

Jimmy Rave challenged Fred Yehi for his internet championship. Jimmy Rave took forever to decide he'd finally get in the ring to face Fred. After that, however, this turned into one of the best technical matches I've seen. Fred Yehi wins by getting Rave to tap to his Koji clutch. I enjoy watching Yehi wrestle every chance I get, and I've not seen him put on a bad match. I need to go watch more of Rave as well because these two really played well off each other.

Next we saw a Tag Team Match with the So Fine Mafia against the newly named "Full Throttle" Frankie Valentine and Josh Storm. So Fine Mafia won this match, but they won because Josh Storm turned on his partner. Storm went on a rant about how he carries the whole company. Josh Storm, what happened to "family first" and putting your differences aside? What happened to the idea that blood is thicker than water? How do you feel about the fans who've been behind you for your career? The little kids who look up to you? You've got the hairbows, and the purses, and the cupcakes with your name on them. Little girls in the audience proudly wear your fangear, buy your pictures, and want their picture made with you. You are likely the most popular fan favorite in UIW, so why? No one saw this coming. My son wore his Full Throttle t-shirt to the event last night, and during the intermission right before the tag team match, Josh Storm came up to him and signed his shirt. And now? My son said he wants me to make him a Frankie Valentine shirt for the next event because Josh Storm turned into a bad guy. So Josh, you've turned on us? What now?

So Fine Mafia's Brad Lynch  goes on a rant about how Diamond Dallas Page couldn't bother to show up and challenges him. DDP answers this challenge. He punches him in the face and then does the Diamond cutter on him. Epic Grant comes in to save his partner and DDP diamond cutters him too. DDP gives a speech about how his career nearly ended until he began doing Yoga and that's how he developed DDP Yoga. The best news he gave us all was that Scott Hall has been clean and sober for 47 days. If he can do for Scott Hall what he's done for Jake Roberts, the man can work miracles. I am extremely impressed.

Our main event was a 6 person West GA street fight. Pandora, Jagged Edge, and Shane Marx took on the team of Murder One, Bull Buchanan, and Nina Monet. This match devolved into chaos very quickly. People got hit with cowbells, steel chairs, and kendo sticks. It felt like I was attempting to watch three separate matches for part of it because it spread all over the place. Nina Monet ending up winning the match for her team. Pandora went to hit Nina with the women's title belt, and she missed. Nina grabbed the belt from her and hit her in the face with it. She then got the pin on Pandora.

So much excitement packed into an $8 ticket. UIW calls itself the past, present, and future of professional wrestling. They've certainly delivered on that statement during this show. They announced that at their June 15th show, Golddust, aka Dustin Rhodes will be appearing. I'm going to try to make it out for that show if I can.

Platinum Championship Wrestling March 2, 2013

The highlights of this show were the second and third rounds of the tournament to win the PCW/Empire unified titles.

The show began with a big six man tag match. It was God's Gift to Wrestling (William Huckaby and Shawn Adams) partnered with Matt "Sex" Sells against Johnny Danger, Matt Von Reaper and Sylar Cross. Johnny Danger and William Huckaby start the match. Huckaby yells at Johnny Danger "Godzilla is a punk". Matt Sells is tagged in. Johnny slams Matt Sells twice. Matt sells misses a move, Johnny Danger tags in Reaper. Then Sylar is tagged in. Huckaby breaks up the count as Sylar nearly pins sells. Adams distracts the ref as Von Reaper is tied up in the enemy corner. Huckaby has Reaper pinned, Johnny Danger breaks up the count. Huckaby tags in Matt Sells. Reaper tags in Sylar Cross who cleans house. Adams and Huckaby both enter the ring to get Sylar. His teammates come in to stop them. The match turns into chaos for a minute, but Sylar wins it getting the pin on Huckaby.

Rachel comes out and says that Shane Marx should get a by since there is one person without competition because neither Sylar nor Jagged won their match. Sylar Cross says " Jagged Edge is nothing. This is my house." A dog collar match between Sylar Cross and Jagged Edge has been set for the March 16th St. Patrick's day extravaganza.

The second match was part of the second round of the tournament. Fred Yehi took on Trey Williams of the Washington bullets. I don't like face vs. face matches or heel vs. heel matches. I think wrestling is better when the audience has a common hero or a common enemy. During this match, it felt like the darling of Porterdale, Trey Williams was taking on the darling of the internet and the podcasts, Fred Yehi. I was in Yehi's camp, and my son was in Williams' camp. Fred was more aggressive in this match than I'd seen him in previous outings. Fred Yehi wins with a springboard rollup into a very nice bridge pin.

Match 3 was another second round bout. Chip Day fought against Supernatural. This was another one of those matches where no one knew who they wanted to get behind because Chip and Supernatural are both crowd favorites. Mostly during this match the crowd was very quiet. Chip kicked Supernatural, and Super caught his leg. Supernatural did a nice frog splash for a 2 count. Chip Day did a very pretty spinning kick followed up by a piledriver. He also kicked Super in the head. Super, however, keeps going. Day double stomps Supernatural. Supernatural kicks Day in the head, and then he dodges Day's kick. Supernatural double stomps Day on the ring apron. Chip Day is counted out. Chip does seem to be favoring his ankle after the match as well. Chip comes back into the ring, and in a show of sportsmanship raises Supernatural's hand.

The next match was also a second round contest. Pump Yo Brakes took on Geter. I find Pump Yo Brakes to be merely annoying. I don't hate him with the same zeal I hate Shane Marx or Jagged Edge. Apparently the rest of the Porterdale audience despises him, as they all cheered for Geter. And Geter delivered, as it was a complete squash.

In the third round of the tournament Shane Marx faced Fred Yehi. My child has a strange sense of humor. He yelled at Miss Rachel as she walked by that he wanted to roast her like a hot dog and put her in a hot dog bun. He also said he would like to lock Shane Marx in a cat room. Marx and Yehi exchanged blows at the start. The exchange ends in a clothesline in Fred's favor. Marx turns it around with a spinebuster, and it's Shane's turn to pound Fred on the mat. Shane Marx is a great wrestler. He's won titles across the state of Georgia, but I despise him. Fred supplexes Shane, and he goes for three like Chavo Guerrero or Kurt Angle. Marx wins the match finally because Rachel trips Yehi and holds his legs during the pin. Please ban the girl from ringside for the final. She is a cheater, and she does nothing but cause trouble. I am not unbiased in this matter.

The second third round match took place between Supernatural and Geter. As much as I love Supernatural, I actually expected this match to be a squash, and predicted that Super had no chance. Super is trying to kick Geter and his kicks are just bouncing off. Geter throws Super around the ring like a ragdoll. Geter does a giant chop to Super's chest, and Geter pins him for a 2 count. He attempts to choke Super. My friend's son yelled at Geter "Supernatural is going to behead you". Geter yells back "What's your name kid?" which makes him cower back, but he eventually answers. So for a bit, everytime Geter hit Super he would say "This is for you Issac." At some point a chair was introduced into the match. Two fans, Debra and Penny said they thought Supernatural needed an equalizer. I am not certain this is how the chair was introduced, this is merely hearsay. Geter threw supernatural into a chair, this didn't get him disqualified because he didn't pick up the chair. Super tried to take out Geter's legs. Chuck Porterfield got knocked out during the match. Geter does what I'd like to call "a giant slam of doom" to Supernatural. John Clay, my friend's other son yelled out at Geter while this is happening, "Geter, fight your true enemy, diabetes." Supernatural took advantage of the referee's ailment and got the chair. He double stomped Geter on the chair after firing repeated shots with it. Supernatural wins. The referee never saw the chair. Wait, was I talking about a chair? Our hero would never use a chair. This blogger would never encourage her husband to pick up said chair and fold it up and place it against the wall, nor would she condone the idea that Tim would sit in front of the chair to further conceal its existence. Chair, what chair?

The final showdown between Shane Marx and Supernatural will take place on March 16th. Please let our hero win this showdown, we've suffered under the reign of Marx long enough. I will not be blogging this event, however, as I am attending UIW's Redemption show that evening. Two wrestling shows in one day would be very difficult for me and my family.

Platinum Championship Wrestling--Porterdale, GA--2/16/13

Today is the first round of the tournament to determine the new unified PCW/Empire champion. All the matches from today's show were first round qualifying matches, and the second and final rounds will be held at the next show on March 2nd.

Match 1: The Revelation Shane Marx vs. The Heatseeker Johnny Danger

Marx starts out by kicking Johnny Danger. He tries to choke him in the corner. Johnny Danger hits Shane Marx in the midsection as he tries to get up. Shane Marx continues trying to choke Johnny Danger, then kicks him in the head. Johnny Danger gains some momentum to gain a near fall. He later slams Marx and does a gorgeous bridge pin to gain another near fall. Marx wins the match with Natural Selection and pins Danger. This was a good opening contest, and Marx is as despised as ever in our great city.

Match 2: Pump Yo Brakes vs. Mason

Mason has PYB in a headlock and he gives him a noogie. Mason slams him. Near the beginning of this match, the bottom rope of the ring broke. PYB won this match, but it's because Shane Marx came out of the audience and hit Mason while the ref's back was turned. Quasi celebrates PYB's win by saying "The Priority Males always deliver." He follows this up with a Ric Flair "Woo".

Match 3: Hit for Hire Bobby Moore vs. Bonafide Fred Yehi.

Bobby Moore wrestles up at Anarchy, and when he wrestles up there the audiences yell "Barney" at him because of his purple wrestling attire. We managed to get a pretty good Barney chant going here at PCW. Bobby Moore delivers giant clotheslines to Fred Yehi. Fred Yehi manages to get him into a headlock. Yehi delivers several chops to Bobby's chest, and does a gorgeous kick to his back. Bobby Moore puts Yehi into an armbar which Fred escapes from. Yehi kicks his way out of the corner to no avail, and the pair exchange blows. Fred Yehi comes at Moore with big clotheslines, and he does a big aerial move which gets him only a 2 count. Bobby Moore kicks Fred from corner, manages to pin him, and gets a 2 count. He tries for an armbreaker, but Fred rolls him up for a nearfall. Fred gets him into the koji but there is a rope break. Bobby Moore manages to pin Fred again for another 2 count, however the match is finally won by Yehi who manages to get Bobby Moore to tap to the Koji clutch.

Match 4: Trey Williams vs. Jon Williams

This match started out very slowly as the two brothers really didn't want to fight each other. In the second half of the match they really meant business. There were a lot of good moves in the second half of this match. Jon finally won the match by reversing a roll-up that Trey originated. The audience chanted "hug it out", and at first Jon pushed Trey away. At the end, however, they did hug to much audience adulation.

Match 5: William Huckaby vs. Chip Day

Huckaby hits Chip pretty hard at the beginning and knocks him loopy. Chip manages to kick Huckaby from a bridge position. Huckaby lands several blows to the back of Chip's head. Chip kicks Huckaby in the back of the neck. He lands 3 kicks to Huckaby's chest. He manages to kick Huckaby while he's out of the ring and knock him down. Huckaby comes back and slams Chip for a 2 count. Chip gets a 2 count, then he lands 3 kicks to Huckaby's chest. Everyone believes Chip is down and out but out of nowhere he gets a surprise pin.

Match 6: Jagged Edge vs. Sylar Cross.

Jagged Edge sees me writing and tells me to write "The Jagged Edge came out of the locker room. The Jagged Edge is in the building." The minute Sylar Cross comes out Jagged Edge attacks him. The action spills all over the arena, but never makes it into the ring. The referee called the match no contest, and the craziness continued. The entire PCW locker room came out to break the two of them apart.

Match 7: Marko Polo vs. De La Vega

When Marko Polo comes out the priority males minion girl rubs lotion on him and smacks his butt. Supernatural comes out with De La Vega and they introduce their newest family member, El Zombie Mascaras. Marko Polo throws De La Vega across the ring like a doll. De La Vega does a beautiful missile dropkick to Marko Polo. Marko Polo does a good elbow to De La Vega. He also does a leg drop he calls "the people's" leg drop, which is delivered much like The Rock's "people's elbow".  De La Vega kicks out at 2. Marko Polo does a standing supplex to De La Vega then out of nowhere De La Vega drops him on his back and manages to get a 2 count. The referee is distracted because he is too busy flirting with minion girl, and Zombie Mascaras is chasing Quasi around the ring. Marko wins, but he cheats to do so while the referee was distracted.

Main Event: Platinum Royal.

Participants: Dynomite Soul, Supernatural, Matt Von Reaper, Raymond King, Relentless (missed his first name) Colphin, Jason Blackwell, Geter, Brian Blaze, Warhorse Maintenance, Warhorse 2, Warhorse 138, Mr. Eric, Zombie Mascaras.

As usual, the match was a free for all. I have no idea who got eliminated in what order. I do know that Brian Blaze was the last man in the ring, and that Supernatural eliminated the most other competitors, so the two of them had a match. Supernatural hurt his knee early in the match, and Brian Blaze attempted to wrench the knee to gain momentum during the entirety of the contest. Supernatural manages to best Brian Blaze despite the injury, and he is now moving onto round 2 of the tournament.

Round 2 will include Shane Marx, Pump Yo Brakes, Fred Yehi, Jon Williams, Chip Day, Marko Polo, and Supernatural. Because of the no contest declared in the Sylar Cross vs. Jagged Edge, I'm not sure what they plan to do with the eighth spot. I'm sure we'll find out on March 2nd when PCW returns to Porterdale.

PCW Porterdale 2/2/13

Match 1: Corey Hollis vs. Fred Yehi.

This show started out with one of my favorite combinations in the ring. I love to watch these two because they put on one of the best technical matches. They start out with a lot of grappling. I swear at one point Fred has Corey's knee twisted like a pretzel. Corey tries to pin Fred but he keeps doing a bridge to keep his shoulders from touching the mat. Corey spits at Fred but Fred punches him. Fred Yehi does a missile dropkick to the back of Corey's neck. Hollis knees Yehi in the throat. Corey does a standing dropkick to Fred but only manages to pin him for a one count. Hollis puts a knee to Yehi's face. Yehi rolls hollis up, but doesn't manage to get the pin. When Hollis gets up, Yehi puts him back down with clotheslines. He follows this up with a supplex for a near fall. Fred slams Corey but Corey kicks out at 2. Corey does a powerbomb to Fred then goes for a "Styles Clash" ,but Fred gets up doing a headstand in one of the coolest reversals I've ever seen. He then gets Corey Hollis into the Koji Clutch and Corey taps. Fred Yehi wins the match. Hollis and Yehi shake hands after the match. For everyone who is a fan of Hollis, he made an appearance on the January 19th episode of Ring of Honor Television as part of the Tag Team Alabama Attitude with long time partner Mike Posey. If you can find that match online, you should watch it. I'm hoping that he continues appearing on Ring of Honor because I think he has what they need.

Match 2: Matt Von Reaper vs. The Jagged Edge.

My first thought upon seeing Jagged Edge come out to face Von Reaper was "It is likely that our Reaper will meet the Grim Reaper tonight." Jagged Edge starts out with a big belly to belly supplex. He does a giant clothesline, a giant elbow, and then a running knee. This match was over quickly. Jagged Edge ran over Von Reaper like a dump truck. He then established his dominance by doing two big powerbombs to his fallen opponent. The good guys came out to try and help, but the damage had been done. Hopefully, they are setting up for a feud between Jagged Edge and Sylar Cross because watching those two big guys fight would be great.

Match 3: Fred Avery vs. Kody Jack.

Fred Avery comes out and says "This is professional wrestling. This is a sport." Fred Avery does a hip toss to Kody Jack then says "This boy needs a real coach." He then bodyslams Kody and puts him into a headlock. He stomps all of Kody's joints while he has him down. Kody only picks up momentum for a little bit punching Avery. Avery picks up the win, and he blows his stupid whistle to signal his victory. Should Kody Jack turn to Fred Avery for pointers? Or should he continue training with his father and show him that family pride will win over arrogance? Only time will tell.

Match 4: Warhorse Steelhorse vs. Supernatural

Warhorse Steelhorse is coming out to audtion for an open spot in the Priority Males. His opponent Supernatural comes out swinging. He trips him, then doublestomps him twice. Supernatural runs away with Quasi Mandisco's phone so Warhorse Steelhorse can't call the cops on him for "stiffing him". This entire match is an independent wrestling "inside joke" about a recent incident where a wrestler called the cops on another wrestler for hitting him in the face inside the ring. (Look up Steelhorse Vachon, if you're unfamiliar). After the match the Priority Males come out and they tell Steelhorse he can't join the group because he didn't deliver. Quasi tells the audience that they are looking at "the greatest group of men assembled to grace the squared circle." Pump Yo Brakes says "You are looking at a wrestling dynasty. The Priority Males always deliver. We're going to show you what real men can do."

Match 5: Priority Males vs. Johnny Danger, Supernatural and De La Vega.

This was one of those tag matches that was fast paced and had a lot of tagging in and out. Both teams got in a lot of good moves, and finally the match ended in a double disqualification because it turned into an all out brawl. I'm pretty sure enough rivalries are present here that we'll see this match up again in the future.

Match 6: 4 Team Elimination Tag Match
Teams: Sylar Cross and Chip Day, The Washington Bullets, Geter and Brian Blaze, Eric Walker and Najasism.

Chip Day elminated Walker and Najasism. Geter elminated Chip and Sylar. Jon pins Geter, so the Bullets win. This was the first match for the 2013 Tag Team Series.

Match 7: Terry "Jailhouse Rocker" Lawler and Steve Lawler vs. Worst Case Scenario.

Terry Lawler comes out in a gold sequined jacket, and he looks like Elvis. This is great. I love gimmicks like this.  They come out to announce Steve Lawler's retirement and tell us that this is the last time they will tag team wrestle in Porterdale. They advertise the Ted Allen Memorial and continue talking about their 30 year career in wrestling. They are interrupted by Worst Case Scenario, their opponents for the evening. Worst Case Scenario is a great team in the ring, and it is a shame they are evil. The Lawlers win the match, and Terry Lawler celebrates by doing his Elvis dance.

Our main event: Shane Marx and Miss Rachel vs. Mason and Stephen Platinum.

Jeff G. Bailey accompanies our villains to the ring. He's trying to make sure the bad guys forfeit the match because it looks like Stephen Platinum hasn't made it to the arena. Supernatural steps up to be Mason's partner, but remember the contract states that a wrestler can't be Mason's partner. He picks Penny Graham from the audience, but the contract states that he can't have an audience member. The contract states it must be Stephen Platinum. Bailey tells us that he plans to rename the town Marxdale.  We wait for the trademark Highway to Hell to start, but instead we get happy 80's pop, the song "Heaven is a Place on Earth." Then out of nowhere, donning angel wings and a halo, our hero here to save us all, Stephen Platinum. He runs around with a feather in his mouth greeting his fans. He tells us the story of a girl in high school named Heather Craven who broke his heart, and he says he couldn't hit Heather in the face, but he can hit Rachel. The fight outside the ring is set to music and it's Whitesnake Here I go Again. It is staged like a bad 80's montage. My favorite part of the match is where Stephen Platinum and Shane Marx are running ropes at each other, and Stephen Platinum slides out of the ring and sits next to us. Marx is still running and makes himself dizzy. The match ends with Mason getting Miss Rachel to tap to his submission hold. The crowd chants Na na na na na na hey hey hey goodbye to them. Stephen Platinum says they can rejoin to compete in the tournament to crown a new champion. This event is schedule to take place February 16th at a special start time of 4pm.
