NWA Atlanta October Havoc----October 26,2013----Stockbridge, GA

There were 110 people spread out in the large middle school gym, and it looked sparsely populated for the space provided.

Match1: Matt "Sex" Sells vs. Fry Daddy for the NWA Max Heavyweight Championship

Fry Daddy, who was both the  champion and the face in the matchup, entered first. I think that Matt Sells could have gotten more heat if he'd come out first. The crowd cheered Fry Daddy when he came out, and they were largely silent for Matt.  Fry Daddy won the match with a tepid response from the crowd.

Match 2: Bill the Butcher vs. Axil Anderson (No DQ Street Fight)

The match had the potential to be brutal, and it wasn't. It didn't work because the hits looked a little weak, and they weren't selling them.  Bill the Butcher won because Pain interfered on his behalf.

Match 3: 11 man Battle Royal for #1 contendership to the GA Heavyweight Championship

Participants included Zac Edwards, who cut a long promo about it sucked that he wasn't featured on the flyer. DJ Clark, The Kentucky Werewolf, Fred Kruger, Drew Adler, King Conga, Tyson Dean, and Dark Mojo. In typical, over the top rope battle royal style, the contestants were eliminated one by one. Dark Mojo, a wrestler who wore a black costume with orange dreadlocks that hung down from his mask crawled around like a spider holding the bottom rope the entire time as the others eliminated each other. I was enthralled by this creature, and actually was cheering for him to win. He eliminated Drew Adler, and then he eliminated himself allowing Tyson Dean to win the match.  He unmasked revealing himself as none other than Kurt Kilgore, who I regard as the most entertaining part of NWA Atlanta. Dark Mojo was merely a scheme to aid Tyson Dean in securing the number one contender spot.

Match 4: Beauty and the Beast vs. The BFF's vs. The Patriot and Rick Michaels.

This was a triple threat tag elimination match for the NWA Atlanta Tag Team Titles. Rick Michaels eliminated Beauty and the Beast, and then they were ejected by the referee after throwing a fit, and they called it a disqualification.  The BFF's won the match and they are the new Tag Team Champions.

Match 5: The Nature Boy Paul Lee vs. Luke Gallows

Paul Lee really needs to find his own gimmick because Ric Flair is so iconic that it feels less like homage and more like blatant plagiarism. I couldn't get behind it at all. This match started out a little bit blah and gained momentum. It got better the further they ventured from the ring.  The best part was where they came up in the bleachers and Gallows hit Lee and knocked him down the stairs.  Gallows pinned Lee and the whole crowd chanted "Yes!"

The Main Event: Pain w/The Black Widow vs. Andy Anderson for the GA Heavyweight Title

I'm generally a huge fan of managers and valets because they assist in getting heat for their guy, but The Black Widow was decidedly beige. Her name implied beauty and danger, and she gave off nothing.  Valets like wrestlers need a character or a look that creates a fantasy or adds to the story in a significant way. She wore jeans, a sleeveless top, and resembled the stereotypical image of a soccer mom. She stood by the ring, waited for her interference spots, and didn't add to the drama.

Bill the Butcher attempted to interfere on Pain's behalf, but he was stopped by Luke Gallows.  Andy Anderson won the match, and he won it very cleanly for a no DQ match.  Rick Michaels, Fry Daddy, and Luke Gallows helped him celebrate his victory in the ring.

NWA Atlanta's next show is November 9th. I'm hoping this is in their Locust Grove location because it seems their shows are sharper and more interesting in the smaller venue.

Platinum Championship Wrestling---Porterdale, Georgia----10/19/2013

Attendance was only 40, and I suspect football season and weather were the culprits.  There were only two matches on the card, but the first was an hour long iron man match between Fred Yehi and Shane Marx. I was skeptical that the two of them would be able to hold the attention of Porterdale's crowd for the entire hour, but the crowd was hot for the whole match.  As Miss Rachel entered with Shane Marx, a girl held a sign that said Miss Rachel is smart and sexy.  Rachel took the sign from her, threw it on the ground, and stomped it.

Fred Yehi won the first fall of the match when Shane Marx tapped to the Koji clutch.  Fred was on a roll as he won the second fall.  Shane came to the aid of Miss Rachel, hitting Fred Yehi with a chair.  Fred attacked her after she meddled in the match on behalf of Shane Marx.  The third fall went to Shane Marx who pinned Fred Yehi with the Natural Selection.  Shane reversed a splash attempt from Fred into a spinebuster from the second rope to score the fourth fall of the contest.  Shane also scored the fifth fall by pinning Fred.  Fred tied up the contest by pinning Shane at the 52 minute mark, and he pulled out the victory scoring his 7th fall with only 5 seconds remaining.  Porterdale fans went crazy when Fred Yehi won.

Johnny Danger did his popular Johnny Danger time segment after intermission.  He told the audience he'd been down recently since Sylar Cross ended his career. Stephen Platinum called him recently because he felt like a failure. He said "They used to call me the heart of PCW, but I tried to help Marko win against Sylar Cross, and he failed. I failed when I tried to help Supernatural win the ladder match, so I'm not the brain of PCW.  I can't get in the ring and fight anymore, so I'm not the right hand of PCW. What am I?" He explained he became angry and frustrated, but Platinum told him wisely "Johnny Danger, you are the spirit of PCW." He told the fans that they are powerful and don't even know it. He led us in some cheers against heels Jeff G. Bailey and Chip Day. They included "Jeff is stupid." and "Chip's a butthole." He then explained that Casey Kincaid has some darkness in him, but he's the type of hero that PCW needs.  Our chant for him was "Kill, Casey, Kill."

Jeff G Bailey came out with Chip Day and said that Johnny Danger Time was a waste of time.  The crowd drowned out most of Jeff G's rant with the "Jeff is Stupid chant." I managed to hear that Jeff G.Bailey wants to wipe out every trace of Stephen Platinum's existence from PCW, and that "no one will take the Empire title from him, and no one will take the PCW belt from Chip." Casey Kincaid became frustrated because he couldn't pin Chip and he took it out on the referee.  While Casey was in a shoving match with the referee, Chip capitalized and pinned Casey.  Jeff G. Bailey and Chip celebrated their victory by playing "Whoop, There It Is" and dancing in the ring. Casey cut their victory party short by spitting "green mist" in Chip's face. Chip ran away calling for Jeff G. Bailey like a crybaby.

PCW ran an exciting show that had only two matches containing 4 wrestlers, 2 managers, and a talk show segment. Both matches contained exceptional technical wrestling.

Platinum Championship Wrestling will be back October 31st at 7pm for a special Halloween show, and they will also do their usual 1st Saturday of the month show on November 2nd.

Pro Wrestling Resurrection---Gainesville, GA----October 13,2013

The crowd was still small for this show. I counted 30 in the audience, but it was an enthusiastic crowd. The show was generally better than it was last time, but still had its weak spots.

Match 1: Joe Black vs. Kevin Blue

The match started out pretty good. The Fraternity came out to ringside and sat next to me. I figured they were up to something.  Joe had Kevin in an armbreaker, and Kevin countered into a headscissors.  Joe asked for a time out saying that Kevin pulled his hair.  Joe kneed Kevin in the corner, and Kevin countered with punches.  Joe pinned Kevin, but Kevin kicked out.  Joe kneed Kevin, then got him in a lock, and he pulled his hair.  Kevin threw punches.  Joe did a leg drop, and attempted a pin.  He then did a backbreaker, then attempted a submission, and then he slammed Kevin down.  Joe delivered several chops to Kevin in the corner that were answered with kicks.  Joe then headbutts Kevin.  Kevin countered a suplex attempt with clotheslines, then a bulldog, attempting to pin Joe unsuccessfully.  Joe did a backbreaker and got a two count.  Kevin Blue won with what looked like a neckbreaker where he flips his opponent over.  Marko got up and began taunting Blue as he's still wearing the shirt he stole from the merchandise table last time, and he's still holding Kevin's U.S. championship belt.

Match 2: God's Gift to Wrestling vs. Overdrive

William Huckaby cut a   heel-turn promo where  he complained that while he was injured no one sent him letters, cards or well-wishes. He then mocked all the teams and wrestlers who just stay here in Georgia while he and his partner Shawn Adams wrestle all over.  He said he'd give his opponent "the beating of a lifetime". Their opponents, Overdrive, were smaller and quicker, and they were pretty good when it came to double teaming.  God's Gift to Wrestling won the match with a double team move where Huckaby threw the guy and Adams got him with a knee.

Match 3: The Black Ninja vs. Zach Daniels

Zach started out doing mock karate moves at the ninja.  Zach did his worst, but the Ninja kept coming back for more. Zach won the match, but there was little doubt this would be the outcome.  The match was amusing, and it seemed popular with the kids.

All Sells Final:

Johnny Danger and Matt Sells said they dropped the PWR titles while playing mini-golf, so that's why they're not wearing them today. Since Kevin Ballenger recently joined, they decided they needed to find him a date, so they set up The Dating Game for that purpose. Johnny Danger reached into his tights and pulled out a stinky bandana to blindfold Kevin Ballenger so he couldn't see the contestants. The contestants were Nina Monet, Dementia De Rose, Aja Pereira, and Grundy. The first question was "What is your ideal dinner date?" Aja answered Hooters for beer and wings.  Grundy simply grunted.  Dementia answered roadkill.  Nina said, "Anywhere as long as you're paying, but it'd better be fancy."  The second and final question was "What kind of chocolate do you like?" Nina began with expensive and foreign.  Grundy simply grunted.  Aja said "Chocolate should come from the heart."  Dementia said she didn't want something from the heart, she'd rather cut out your heart.

Aja and Grundy fought over Ballenger, and this was the lead in to the planned ladies 4 way elimination matches. During the match, the crowd was split between Aja and Grundy.  Nina Monet won this weak and confusing match.  She waited until the others were eliminated then stole the win.

Main Event:
Brian Blaze, Marko, and Geter (The Fraternity) vs. Matt Sells, Johnny Danger, and Kevin Ballenger (Rock and Roll Models)

The Rock and Roll Models tired of waiting for the Fraternity to get started, so they came and sat in the audience.  While they did that, the Fraternity mocked them by putting on their jackets.  Sells and Blaze started. Matt's armbar was reversed by Blaze.  Matt got him down into a chinlock.  Blaze attempted a pin.  Matt did a submission that Brian escaped.  Matt attemped it again to no avail.  They both went for a kick, but they caught each other's leg, and they agreed to let go on three, which Sells didn't.  Matt slammed Brian.  Matt took Brian's head between his legs and bounced it onto the canvas 5 times.  The action spilledoutside the ring as Matt and Johnny fought all three members of the group.  Geter started to do a dive onto all of them, but they ran.

Johnny Danger and Brian Blaze were in next. Johnny Danger made one pin attempt, but Blaze kicked out.  Matt Sells tagged back in, and threw punches to Brian Blaze's face.  Geter then tagged in, and did a giant suplex to Matt Sells.  Marko then tags in.  The referee is distracted by Johnny Danger while the Fraternity has Sells isolated.  Marko hadSells in a submission and he jumped to hit Matt. The third time he did it, Matt counteredwith his knees.  Danger taggged in, and so did Blaze. Danger attemptted  a pin, but Marko broke up the count.  Ballenger and Danger double teamed Blaze, then Ballenger suplexed Blaze.  Marko broke up the count again.  Marko tagged in and attempted a pin of his own to no avail.  Blaze and Ballenger exchanged blows in the corner.  Geter falsely tagged in while the referee was distracted.  He only managed a 2 count on Ballenger who was isolated for a bit.  Geter manhandled him, but he kicked out again.  Blaze came back in, and Ballenger kicked him.

Danger clotheslined Blaze then kicked him.  Marko broke up the pin yet again.  Blaze tagged in Geter, and Danger tagged in Sells.  Sells chopped Geter in the corner, and when Blaze attempttedto come in, Sells threw him out of the ring.  Marko pulled Johnny Danger out of the ring, leaving only Sells and Geter.  Matt was distracted by the action outside, and Geter slammed him hard.  Matt powered out at 2.  Geter and Blaze double teamed Sells.  Geter held Matt up and dropped him while Blaze elbowed him, and the Fraternity wins.  A major brawl broke out at the end.

Aja Pereira grabbed the microphone and said "Nina, you cheated to win, and that's not how we do things. You find yourself a partner because I want to face you November 10th." At the next show, Aja and a partner of her choosing will face Nina and a partner of her choosing.

NWA Atlanta---Locust Grove, GA---10/12/13.

There were approximately 70 fans in attendance in Locust Grove for NWA Atlanta on Saturday night.  The crowd was pretty hot for this show.

Match 1: Fred Yehi vs. Drew Adler

Fred Yehi came out with a video camera, and he yelled at the fans for cheering when Drew Adler entered. Drew Adler bills himself from the Mushroom Kingdom, wears Mario related ring gear, and enters to the Super Mario theme.

Drew and Fred began by grappling. Drew clotheslined Fred, but Fred took the coward's way out.  The ref started counting, and Fred yelled at Drew to slow down. Drew got a "Scaredy Cat" chant directed at Fred from the crowd.  They grappled again.  Drew got Fred into an armbar, and Fred managed to pull Drew down for a pin, but Drew kicked out.  Fred got hold of Drew's arm but Drew reversed it.  Fred tied Drew up in his shirt, and he had Drew's legs up around his head.  Drew managed to gain control, and he did this move where he rolled like a bowling ball.  Drew followed that with a nice suplex, but Fred kicked out of the pin attempt.

Fred went for a leg drop and missed. Drew slammed Fred, and then whipped hm into the corner.  Fred flipped over the rope and pulled Drew out of the ring.  They fought outside the ring exchanging chops.  Fred kicked Drew in the head , then he did a neckbreaker. Drew kicked out of the pin attempt. Fred put drew in a chinlock, but Drew fought his way out. Fred chopped Drew and he taunted the crowd as he continued his assault.  Drew regained control, but he didn't keep it for long. Fred slammed Drew, then went off the top rope, but Drew countered.  Drew landed a running knee. Fred countered as Drew ran out of the corner with an elbow.  Drew kicked Fred in the head and secured the victory. This was a great high energy opener. Both wrestlers are technically gifted, and they both did their best to get the crowd invested.  This is easily the match of the night.

Match 2: Axil Anderson vs. Bill T. Butcher

Andy Anderson's music played, but Tyson Dean came out instead.  He said that Andy Anderson couldn't make it because he was still suffering from the injuries he'd given him.   He called out Axil Anderson, and Tyson told Axil he had a surprise for him. They cued up Bill T. Butcher's music, and he came out to stomp Axil Anderson.  The action spilled out of the ring, and they got counted out. It was ruled a double disqualification because they went through the barricade. Bill T. Butcher kept attacking.

Matt "Sex" Sells came out and the crowd yelled "We don't want to hear you." He responded, "Each and every one of you are just like Fry Daddy. The thing that separates me from Fry Daddy is that he has to try hard." Sells really has the cocky, wanna be rock star thing down.  He said he'd lay waste to Fry Daddy later in the evening.

Match 3: Zac Edwards vs. Frankie Valentine

There was a pretty good exchange in the middle of the match where Frankie clotheslined Zac and Zac jumped over Frankie's head. Frankie got him down and did an elbow to his throat.  Zac spent a lot of time outside the ring during this match.  Zac did a tilt a whirl backbreaker to Frankie.  Zac lost the match because he was too distracted by the idea of Bowtie Power.  Frankie rolled him up.

Match 4: The BFF's vs. Rick Michaels and The Patriot.

Rick came out and told the BFF's that it's Breast Cancer Awareness month and that Real Men can Wear Pink, but they looked like they were dressed for the Pride parade going on in Atlanta this weekend.  Rainbows are for sissies. The entire crowd started chanting "Sissies" at BFF's.  Rick Michaels went to shake Adorable Anthony's hand but thumbed him in the eye.  The match barely got started when Michael Stevens left the ring.  The Patriot got into the match for a short time, and when Rick tagged in he slid under the Patriot's legs to give his opponent a low blow which the ref didn't catch. When he complained about Rick's low blow, Rick Michaels said there was nothing there to hit.  Rick was isolated for a while. He managed to make the tag but the referee didn't see it. The BFF's won.  This match didn't click for me. Rick and The Patriot seem like a mismatch, and I wish I knew the history behind why they were tagging.  In general, I found the match boring.

Match 5: Stupid vs. Shaun Tempers

Tempers chopped Stupid on every corner of the ring.  Stupid distracted the referee and Tweety attacked Shaun.  Stupid then did a neckbreaker and pinned Shaun, but he kicked out.  Stupid did a chinlock to Shaun. Shaun gained control and side slammed Stupid. Stupid regained control and did an elbow. Stupid got a pin, but Shaun got his leg on the rope. Shaun suplexed Stupid, then did a neckbreaker, and he managed a pin attempt.  Shaun got Stupid in a submission where it was likely he'd have tapped if Tweety hadn't interfered and pulled his leg onto the rope.  There was a nice scoop slam from Shaun.  Tweety tried to create her typical distractions, but Shaun won the match.

Main Event: Matt "Sex" Sells vs. Fry Daddy

Matt Sells refused to perform unless he received complete silence, and the crowd responded by screaming louder.  Fry Daddy punched and kicked Matt in the corner, and Matt took the coward's way out by leaving the ring to call a time out.  Fry Daddy pushed Mat's head into the barricade. When they got back in the ring, Matt pins but no win.  Matt played drums on Fry Daddy's head while he had him down between his knees. He danced suggestively as well.  The crowd chanted "Slater wannabe" at him the entire match.  Fry Daddy did a bulldog. Matt did a headscissors. Fry Daddy set up for a crossbody, but Matt got a pin by rolling Fry Daddy over.

This show was better in my opinion than NWA Atlanta's War Games show that I attended during the summer.  NWA Atlanta may be on the rise. Their Halloween show is Oct 26th at Stockbridge Middle School, and I will be in attendance.

Sacred Ground Chapter 4: Platinum Championship Wrestling, Oct 5, 2013

As I stood in line, I chatted with another writer who told me that about a year ago he'd heard a remark from another promoter that "Platinum was moving his gay theatre to Porterdale." It is no secret that people in wrestling circles did not respect PCW, and many believed it would die out without Platinum directly at the helm.  A year later, PCW flourishes in Porterdale with steady crowds, and PCW wrestlers have risen to prominence at several promotions around the state.  The Porterdale crowds are rabid about PCW. Last year's Sacred Ground felt like the end of an era, but this year felt more like a celebration, a way for PCW to say "Look at us, we're still here, and we're stronger than ever."

The crowd was much lighter than last year's,only around a hundred in attendance, but they were in good spirits and ready for a show.

Match 1: Platinum Royal

Entrants: Sugar Shane, Josh Colter, Grundy, Aja Pereira, Adrian Armour, Go Time Eric Jones, Dynomite Soul Eric Walker, Casey Kincaid, and Dwight Power.

Before the Platinum Royal started, Dwight Power came out and made a statement about homosexuals and minorities that made the audience glad he was eliminated first.

Eliminations were as follows: 1.Dwight Power, 2. Aja Pereira, 3. Grundy (who eliminated herself so she could get to Aja), 4. Sugar Shane, 5. Josh Colter, 6. Dynomite Soul Eric Walker, 7. Adrian Armour. 8. Casey Kincaid. Last man standing: Go Time Eric Jones.

In a Platinum Royal, the last man standing, Go Time Eric Jones, has to face the man who eliminated the most contestants, in this case, Casey Kincaid. The match showed the audience the best that Eric Jones had to offer us.  The tension between Kincaid and Eric Jones was epic, and this is the first time that the final two men eliminated in the Platinum Royal have faced each other in the final battle to win. Kincaid won the match, even with a a bad knee. Kincaid helped Eric up and they shook hands.

Match 2: Bobby Moore vs. Joey Kidman

Joey Kidman started out strong. Moore did a suplex, but after he turned around to brag to the audience only to have his suplex answered by one from Joey Kidman.  Rachel interfered outside the ring while the referee tried to count Joey Kidman out, but was distracted by Bobby Moore. Moore got Kidman into an ankle lock, but Kidman reached the rope. The next time Moore got Kidman into an ankle lock, Rachel attempted to hold the rope just out of Kidman's reach. Aria saw Rachel, and she ran around to her. Aria and Rachel got into the middle of the match, and they provided enough distraction that Bobby Moore was able to strike Joey Kidman with a loaded elbow pad and he picked up the win.

Match 3: Brian Blaze and Geter vs. De La Vega and Adam Pearce

When Quasi Mandisco made his entrance, he was his usual, not-so charming self. He came right up and put his butt in my face.  Adam Pearce hassled the referee by tying his bow-tie tighter.  When Quasi Mandisco is involved in a match, the crowd will get behind the other team, no matter how hated they are when they face our heroes.  This crowd was behind Brian Blaze and Geter by that virtue alone.  When it looked like Pearce had the match cinched, De La Vega tagged himself in. That proved to be the wrong move and Brian Blaze got the pin in one of the most exciting exchanges PCW audiences have seen.  De La Vega and Pearce fought after their match, and Adam Pearce hit Vega. He then did a piledriver on Quasi and blew his nose on him.  If Pearce ever wrestles in Porterdale again, he'd be a hero.

Match 4: Washington Bullets vs. Los Ben Dejos

When Los Ben Dejos entered, they chased the photographer around the ring. I noticed that the Bullets were sporting some new pink and blue ring gear.  One of Los Ben Dejos sat in a lady in the audience's lap, and she looked traumatized.  The match was fast paced and exciting,  and the Washington Bullets advanced to the finals. Both of the tag team semi-final matches tied as my pick for match of the night.

Match 5: Mia Yim vs. Leva Bates vs. Dementia De Rose (Platinum Trinity Match)

Mia Yim and Leva Bates often double teamed Dementia De Rose to keep her out of the ring so they could focus on eliminating each other.  Dementia De Rose was the first eliminated, but neither Yim nor Bates managed to pin the other during the two minute period that De Rose was barred from the ring. Mia Yim managed to pin Leva Bates at the second that De Rose reentered the ring, and De Rose made quick work of Yim.

Match 6: Fred Yehi vs. Steven Walters

Adam Pearce was presented with the 2013 Platinum Standard award for his contributions to both PCW and the sport of professional wrestling as a whole.  In his honor, Fred Yehi and Steven Walters put on a match that exemplified skill and sportsmanship.  There were a few cheers for Fred Yehi, and the match itself showcased both competitors agility, athleticism, and wrestling ability. It was non-stop action the whole time.  Walters tapped to Fred's koji clutch.

Match 7: Sylar Cross vs. Marko Polo

Johnny Danger Time: Johnny Danger came out wearing a green track suit and a giant watch that reminded me of Flava Flav. He said "I'm still standing, and I'm still putting smiles on people's faces. It don't get much better than that.  I'm not afraid anymore and neither is Marko. Sylar comes out, and Johnny Danger said he'll kick his butt with the power of song. Marko's Magic Mangina theme started and both Stephen Platinum and Johnny Danger sang loudly and proudly.

Immediately after this display of musical amusement, the stretcher match between Sylar and Marko begins. They start off taking turns pounding each other in the corner.  Marko tried to pick Sylar up for a slam, but fell backwards. Sylar tried to put Marko on the stretcher, but Polo raked Sylar's face.  Sylar regained control and whipped Polo into the corner, but he missed his next move.  Polo got Cross down with a clothesline. Chip Day came out and kicked Marko Polo in the head, and Jeff G. Bailey held a chair in the corner. Sylar went to ram Marko into the chair, but Marko got away.  Cross ran himself into the chair.  Sylar then hit Marko twice with the stretcher outside the ring.  Sylar got Marko on the stretcher, and though Marko did his best to unhook himself, Sylar managed to get him across the line and win the match.

Match 8: Shane Marx vs. Mason

Mason and Marx waste no time going at each other. Shane Marx won after a hard fought victory. This was a loser leaves town, last man standing match. I cried when I realized it was Mason leaving. Mason gave us a heartfelt speech. "10 years ago is when the Demi-God started. 9 years ago is when I met you, and it's been 9 years of of me building and you destroying. Porterdale's always felt like home. The memory of 14 stitches in my head only lives in the minds of these people." Mason, we will miss you, and I hope that Loser Leaves Town doesn't mean forever.

Match 9: Brian Blaze and Geter vs. Washington Bullets

These are the two top teams that PCW has, and it's no surprise they're in the finals.  It was a chaotic, action packed match, and Brian Blaze got the pin.  The Big F'n Deal comprised of Geter and Blaze are Tag Team Season Champions two years in a row. Both they and the Bullets have won twice, so next year's Tag Team finals will be the two of them, and the team that wins the most matches during the season gets to choose the stipulation.

Match 10: Supernatural vs. Chip Day for the Unified PCW/Empire title

Jeff G. Bailey exchanged heated words as Supernatural hung the titles from the ceiling.  Super used the ladder to slam Chip into the apron. They fought for a while, and the two of them both ended up on the ladder, and Super grabbed the Empire title, and Chip the PCW title. Platinum comes out and introduces the new PCW belt, making the two former titles invalid. The match is restarted. Super laid Chip Day across the ladder draped on the ropes, and he jumped off the giant ladder. Platinum jumped into the ring after Bailey jumped in to help Chip. Bailey threw white powder into Platinum's face, and Chip Day won the match.  Chip Day is now PCW champion.  In the midst of Platinum's heartfelt speech about, Jeff G. Bailey yells "Thank you for being a loser." Casey Kincaid will cash in his title shot he earned from the Platinum Royal at the October 19th show against the new PCW champion, Chip Day.

The thing that struck me most about Sacred Ground was the fact that hometown talent won their matches against out of town talent, and the out of town talent was used to enhance the story going on in the hometown show rather than be the attraction themselves.  This differs from other shows I've attended with prominent guest stars where the guest star typically comes out on top. The show was a success, and it's time for a new year of story lines, heroes, villains, and drama.

On October 19th a new chapter begins with an Iron Man match between Shane Marx and Fred Yehi, and the championship match between Casey Kincaid and Chip Day.
