Are you a wrestling fan in the state of GA looking for a show to see this weekend? There are several shows this weekend that you may be interested in checking out.
Friday night Monstrosity Championship Wrestling is having a show at Club Famous. The show starts at 9pm and tickets are $10. Monstrosity Championship Wrestling is best described as a mash-up of monster movies and professional wrestling. The highlight of this show will be MCW champion Phantom defending his belt against the evil Papa Marko.
Saturday May 4, Universal Independent Wrestling is having a show at Villa Rica Elementary School. The doors open at 6:30 pm with an 8:00 pm bell time. Ringside seats are $8, and general admission bleacher seating is $6. Kids 6 and under get in free with a paid adult. This card is packed with talent from top to bottom. Murder One is scheduled to challenge Bull Buchanan for the UIW heavyweight title. Stupid is scheduled to face Drew Adler. Drew Adler, in my opinion, is one of the hottest rising stars in the state of GA right now. Bobby Moore is taking on another of my favorite wrestlers, Fred Yehi. Universal Independent Wrestling is putting on great shows right now, and if you are in the West Georgia area you should check them out.
Peachstate Wrestling Alliance is placing themselves in direct competition with Universal Independent Wrestling this Saturday. I've never attended a show at Peachstate, but this looks like it will be an interesting show. Rick Michaels is set to take on former commissioner Shane Noles in a street fight. Street fights are always fun to watch. The other match that will likely be a crowd pleaser is Simon Sermon vs. Zach Daniels for the GA Jr. Title. I enjoy Simon Sermon's attitude and his outfits. He is always fun to watch. Finally, I'd bet that Trevor Aeon vs. Dusty McWilliams will be a good match as Trevor Aeon is quickly becoming a hot talent in both Georgia and Alabama. Doors open at 6:30 with a 7:30 bell time. For information on tickets you can call 770-328-1162. Prices weren't listed on the poster unfortunately.
If you are curious where the Wrestling Fan Girl will be on Saturday, I am attending Chikara's first ever GA show live in Porterdale at 7pm Saturday night. Chikara is what would happen if you pitted comic superheroes against comic villains. There are goblins, snakes, ants, and luchadors of all shapes and sizes. The grand champion of Chikara is set to face Mark Angelosetti, aka Mr. Touchdown. Green faced demons, The Batiri, are set to face the current tag team champions 3.0. The prince of Goblins, Kobald, is supposed to take on Amasis. There are many other great matches on this card. Tickets for this show for general admission seating are $20. Children under 12 are free.
Rounding out the weekend, Pro Wrestling Resurrection is having a $5 Cinco De Mayo show. Matt "Sex" Sells is putting his career on the line against the career of "The Rage" Ryan Michaels. One of them will have to give up wrestling at PWR forever. Chris Damian, Kevin Blue, members of the Reckoning, The Rock and Roll Models and The Undead Luchadors are also scheduled to appear at this event. The show I attended a few weeks ago was red hot, and if PWR continues with that momentum, they are set to become an amazing company.
