Peachstate Wrestling Alliance--June 28, 2014--Carrollton, GA

225 rabid fans filled the VFW Fairgrounds building, and they were ready for a great time.  Peachstate Wrestling Alliance delivered, and it promises to deliver again on July 5th. The entire show was an absolute delight.  Every match told a story, and all those stories wove together to create a good build for the July 5th show.

At the beginning of the show, the PA system for the ring announcer's microphone was messed up, however, it was fixed by the beginning of the third match. For the remainder of the show the audio ran smoothly.

Match 1: Southern Cross (Casey Kincaid and Shane Marx) and The French Sensation, Romeo vs. The Young Lions (Lex Lee and Kevin Kaufman) and Rick Michaels.
Winners: Southern Cross and The French Sensation, Romeo

When Southern Cross entered, the entire crowd yelled "You got beat". Romeo, the arrogant Frenchman, entered waving his flag and insulting America to chants of "USA" that rang through the audience. The Young Lions, current tag champions, are a high energy team, and they are very popular with the crowd.  When one of the Young Lions was in peril during the match, a chant of "We want Rick" echoed through the crowd, proving how much Rick Michaels is loved at Peachstate.

The heels fought dirty in this match, as one of the Young Lions was hit in the head with the French flag by Romeo while the referee's back was turned. The referee didn't see the tag when Michaels tried to tag into to save his partner, so Kaufman was isolated for a long time.  He showed great resilience, and he finally tagged in Lex Lee.  Kaufman and Lee double teamed Marx, then Kincaid. They then dived outside the ring on top of them. Romeo took advantage, and pinned Rick Michaels after a neckbreaker. It was a terrific opener.

Match 2: Damian Ceretone vs. Jimmy Rave
Winner: Jimmy Rave.

The wrestlers appeared before the referee did. Security had to go to the back and find him. Once the referee was found, Rave evaded being searched swearing he had nothing hidden on his person. He had his fingers crossed behind his back. This match featured a lot of mat wrestling at the beginning. Rave clearly had a lot of supporters even though he's clearly a heel. Rave won the match and posed for the camera to celebrate his win. Security aided his opponent to the back

Tommy Too Much came out to explain why he choked Simon Sermon at the previous show. He said. "For thirteen years we've been partners. How come my face isn't on the posters. that's my voice on the music, not his. That song made Simon Sermon famous." He pulled out a costume. "I designed this. This outfit made Simon Sermon famous." He went onto explain how all the rest of the Exotic Ones held singles titles, but he'd never held one. "I've carried Simon Sermon for thirteen years, and I want what's owed to me. Simon Sermon's going to be ended. There won't be no Simon Sermon here."

Shane Noles said "Most people here told me to fire you tonight, but firing you is letting you off the hook. July 5th, instead of firing you, you'll face Simon Sermon." Too Much responded "Simon Sermon's got to get in this ring and give me $5000 in front of all these Obama loving idiots. If he gives me all that money, then I'll give him his match. It has to be done in that ring. I'm not riding his coattails anymore." Noles responded "Tommy, clear your schedule. I'm going to call Simon Sermon right now."

Match 3: The Dragon vs. Odinson
Winner: Odinson

The crowd was clearly behind Odinson during this match. It spilled outside the ring rather quickly. The Dragon kept trying to choke Odinson, and when the referee tried to stop him, Dragon would push the referee.  Odinson won the match with a spinning side slam, pinning The Dragon. The crowd chanted at The Dragon, "You got beat" which seemed to be a favorite chant at Peachstate.

Rick Michaels gave a heartfelt speech about his pro wrestling career and his time at Peachstate. "For three years, this company has been my life. Whether there are 668 or 68, this place has the most awesome fans. Since 1985, all I've wanted to do was be a pro wrestler. In 1991, I got to start that journey, but after today..." At that point the entire crowd broke out into a "No" chant.

Michaels continued, "My body and my mind need to be healed. Tonight was my last match in pro wrestling. I want to apologize to Shane, The Young Lions, and mostly to the fans."  Prince Akbar interrupted Michaels to tell the crowd he'd signed The French Sensation, Romeo.  Romeo took the microphone. "Let me tell you something American people. I've finally found someone who shares the same values as me and who hates this hell hole America. Nobody gives a crap about ya'll. I think you're leaving because you can't swallow the fact you've been beaten not once, not twice, but four times by the French sensation."

Michaels hit Romeo, then said "Go tell your countrymen you just got bitchslapped by a queer. Let's do this in seven days, a full participation strap match. 8 lucky fans get to be in the match. Since you like to wave your flag so much, there will be flags on a pole. If I climb up and get old glory, you have to sing our anthem. Every ticket to this show will be $5, that's for ringside, general admission, anywhere in the building." The whole crowd chanted USA at Akbar and Romeo as they exited.

Match 4: Ace Haven (w/Amy Haven) vs. Kevin Blue

The crowd was clearly behind Kevin Blue during this match. The match was a fast paced, high energy contest, and it was gorgeous.  Blue suplexed Haven at the end, and it looked like Blue had won, however it was determined that both men's shoulders were on the mat. The officials declared the Jr. Heavyweight title vacant. At that time, Jimmy Rave came out and said they should kick Ace Haven out of the picture and he and Kevin Blue should have a match for the title since he'd beaten both Haven and Blue previously. Officials decided that all three men will compete in a triple threat match for the vacated title on July 5th.

Main Event: Fred Yehi vs. Adam Jacobs in a 10 round boxing match.

During the main event, I was afforded the privilege of sitting at ringside as a guest judge for the match along with JB Lamentary and Dave Wills. This match was a 10 round boxing match. Each round lasted two minutes, and had a 60 second rest period in between.

Jacobs entered the ring with Jimmy Rave in his corner. He wore a motorcycle helmet which officials were quick to point out was not official headgear. They made him change into official headgear before allowing the match to continue. Yehi had no one in his corner during the first round and he threw the corner stool out of the ring during the rest period.   Jacobs acted cowardly at the beginning of the match, leaving the ring twice to avoid Yehi's assault. At the beginning of the second round, Ace Haven joined Fred Yehi in his corner. It was obvious he only joined Yehi at ringside to keep an eye on his opponent in next week's triple threat, Jimmy Rave. Rave was funny as Jacob's corner guy, as he poured water on him and fanned him with the towel. Jacobs stuck Yehi with a low blow in the third round. During the fourth round, Jacobs ran around the ring and tried to leave. He was clearly scared of Yehi. In round five, Jacobs tried to use the stool as a weapon. Yehi lost a glove, and he appeared hurt, though he carried on valiantly.

During the sixth round, Jimmy Rave ran into the ring and beat up Yehi. He was banned from ringside. Jacobs kicked Yehi while he was down, and hit Yehi so hard he lost his mouthguard. Jacobs pulled Yehi's arm over the rope in the eighth round, and Yehi did the same to Jacobs. Jacobs kicked Yehi in the shin.  Yehi got in some good offense in the beginning of the ninth round.  In round 10 Jacobs got a bucket of water thrown on him, then Ace Haven did the same to Fred Yehi. Yehi won the match with a knockout in the tenth round. Jacobs and Yehi hugged as a sign of good sportsmanship at the end of the match. Yehi tells Jimmy Rave that he now has a target on his back.

Peachstate Wrestling Alliance returns to Carrollton on July 5. Three matches have been set for that show so far, Rick Michaels vs. Romeo in a "full participation" strap match, Tommy Too Much vs. Simon Sermon, and Ace Haven, Jimmy Rave, and Kevin Blue in a triple threat match for the Jr. Heavyweight title. All seats for the July 5th show are five dollars.

Platinum Championship Wrestling--June 21, 2014--Porterdale, GA

44 fans showed up to see the final show before July 4th's War Games, and sparks were already ready to fly.

Jeff G. Bailey came out bragging about how his team is going to beat up Rachel's. He showed the crowd pictures of the attack from the last show, including a magazine cover that showed him putting Rachel in the camel clutch. Rachel came out with Supernatural and Shane Marx and said "This is my team, but it's not my whole team. I told you there'd be a day when you no longer called the shots. That day has come. If you're worthy to call the shots, put one of your guys against Supernatural. If he wins, I'll tell you the rest of my team. If not, I'll tell you when I'm good and ready."

Match 1: Supernatural vs. "Hit for Hire" Bobby Moore
Winner: Supernatural

Jeff G. Bailey chose Bobby Moore to take on Supernatural. Moore threw his shirt at Rachel and said "Go do my laundry." Some kids yelled at him and he yelled back "I will take your cheetos." Moore tried repeatedly to best Supernatural, but Supernatural was resilient. Moore resorted to dastardly tactics, going for his loaded elbow pad, which Supernatural avoided. Supernatural won the match by rolling Moore up, and the crowd went insane. Bailey's thugs came out to try and lay waste to Supernatural, but Supernatural slid out of the ring in time to avoid them. This was a good opener. Both guys really sold the punishment they dished out to each other, and they fired the crowd up.

Match 2: Warhorse Moral High Horse vs. ???
Winner: ???

Warhorse Moral High Horse told the announcers that the crowd shouldn't see PCW Action, and that they shouldn't see wrestling.
A mysterious hooded figure came out to challenge Warhorse Moral High Horse, and some members of the crowd were chanting "Let us See!" Before Saturday's show a mysterious video circulated that repeated the words, Let us see!. It was sent to those who were supposed to be part of "The Watch."  The mysterious figure made quick work of Warhorse Moral High Horse, and then he took the microphone. He said "People of Porterdale, I see you. If you ever see me, If you ever need me, say Let us see."

Match 3: "Do or Die" Chip Day vs. "Mr. Inspirational" Morgan Davis III.
Winner: "Do or Die" Chip Day

Day began the match aggressively, but Davis fought him off. Davis did a good crossbody, and his kicks have improved. Jeff G. Bailey taunted Davis while Day beat him up, saying that he'd never be champion and that he'd never be as good as Day. Day won the match after delivering a side slam to Davis. Davis's wrestling skills have improved since his last run in PCW, however, his character does not match his new moniker. He is as inspiring as plain oatmeal. Chip Day, Sylar Cross, and Adrian Armour gave Davis a beat down after their match, showing they were serious about taking out anyone who might join Miss Rachel's War Games team.

Johnny Danger and his brother Devlin Valek formally announced the formation of their new team, The Danger City Demons. Danger tried to teach Valek how to have fun during Johnny Danger Time. Danger told the crowd he planned to absolutely murder Quasi Mandisco in the Porterdale Street Fight on July 4th. Danger danced to "ABC" by The Jackson Five, and Valek looked like he wanted no part of it. He looked positively frightened at Danger's dancing.

Quasi Mandisco came out and insulted the crowd's ability to clap on the beat. "The only person who's going to die in that street fight on July 4th is you, Johnny Danger. What are you gonna do when Quasimania runs wild on you?"

Match 4: The Danger City Demons (Johnny Danger and Devlin Valek) vs. MAIM (Deandre Jackson and "Pump Yo Brakes" Steve Goins.)
Winners: MAIM

Both teams worked reasonably well together in this match, but my hope is that with time they will develop more synchronicity . The crowd was in strong support of The Danger City Demons.Part of that is due to the fact that Quasi Mandisco could draw heat from an ice cube, and part is because Johnny Danger does his best to entertain the fans, and they've really grown to love him.   MAIM won the match, but only after causing confusion when Goins tried to introduce a 2 by 4 into the ring. Danger snatched the 2 by 4 from Goins. The referee turned to deal with Danger allowing Goins to get Valek with a low blow. Goins pinned Valek when the referee turned back around. Savage Shane joined his MAIM teammates in the ring and they decimated Valek and Danger. Mandisco tried to break Valek in half with a modified Boston crab, yelling at Danger "This is going to be you, you son of a bitch." He then hit Valek in the head with brass knuckles. Announcer Chuck Porterfield yelled at Mandisco "I hope on the 4th of July Johnny Danger beats your ass."

Match 5: Savage Shane vs. "Go Time" Erik Jones vs. "The Hammer of the Gods" Sylar Cross.
Winner: Savage Shane

Sylar Cross seemed content during this match to assist Savage Shane.  He threw Shane on Eric who went for the pin. Chip Day came out to the ring to assist Cross in beating down Jones, and Shane got the pin due to Day's interference. The heels are staying true to their word and they're taking down the competition one man at a time. Go Time took the microphone and said "This is the third time this has happened. Savage Shane you're nothing but a little punk. Be like a grown man and show me you have a pair at July 4th so I can beat your ass.

Main Event: "The Revelation" Shane Marx vs. Adrian Armour

Marx really shined in this match. Armour attacked Rachel and Marx went to her defense. For his trouble he got beaten up right at my feet. It's delicious how much heat Armour got just for going after Rachel. Marx did a wicked spear to Armour for a two count. Marx went for Natural Selection, but Armour fought his way down.  Armour attempted to best Marx with his own move, a spinebuster, but Marx retaliated with a spinebuster of his own. Both men were down, and they managed to get up just as the referee counted to nine. They exchanged blows, and they both argued with the referee, pushing and shoving until they both shoved him and the match ended in a double disqualification.

Armour's compatriots Chip Day and Sylar Cross came out to beatdown Marx, and the heroes came out to his aid.  The monster Grotesque, who PCW audiences haven't seen since the Destroy all monsters casket match at Sacred Ground III, made his return and chokeslammed Adrian Armour.

Rachel announced that her team will comprise Supernatural, Shane Marx, the monster Grotesque, and she announced the return of fan favorite, Mason. Bailey's team for War Games includes "Hit for Hire" Bobby Moore, Adrian Armour, Sylar Cross, and "Do or Die" Chip Day. Because War Games teams traditionally include five members each, Rachel and Jeff G. Bailey will compete inside the cage with their respective teams.  War Games will take place at Porterdale's annual 4th of July festival. Admission to the event is free, but premium ringside seating is available for $20.

NWA Atlanta--May 24, 2014--Locust Grove, GA

Match 1: Joey Kidman and The Russian Assassin vs. Bill the Butcher and Pain
Winners: Bill the Butcher and Pain

Prince Akbar came out with Kidman and The Russian Assassin and said that if the referee didn't hold Pain and Bill back then his team would leave and there would be no match.  Joey Kidman's slimmed down some, and his "psycho" heel gimmick got a fair amount of heat from the Locust Grove crowd.

Joey Kidman locked up with Bill the Butcher. Joey clotheslined Bill, but The Russian Assassin tagged himself in before Joey could capitalize.  Butcher and Pain double teamed The Russian Assassin and manhandled him. Kidman abandoned his partner in frustration because he wasn't given another chance to tag in.  Pain knocked The Russian Assassin down with just a thumb, pinned him, and left him for dead.

Tradition came out and Zac Edwards announced them.  "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, white trash of all ages," he crowed to the audience.  "We're not just the best here at NWA Atlanta. We're the best in the state of GA. Tradition is about the greatest champions. We are the 4 best in the state, and later tonight Fry Daddy and Marko are going to know that.  If you hillbilly rednecks don't show these men some respect when they come out later tonight I'm gonna bust some skulls."

Match 2: Trevor Aeon vs. The Curry Kidd
Winner: The Curry Kidd

Aeon was accused of trying to pull the "hair" on Curry Kidd's mask.  Curry Kidd pulled out a comb and attempted to comb Aeon's hair. Aeon did armbar on Curry Kidd and managed to get his shoulders down, but Curry Kidd kicked out at two.  Curry Kidd danced while Aeon walked around the ring.  Aeon made a large offense, but Curry Kidd kicked out at two. Curry Kidd failed at a sunset flip attempt, and he continued to make several pin attempts.  He did a scissor kick for a two count.  Then he did a "curricanrana" into a submission and Aeon tapped.

Match 3: DJ Clarke and Kyle O'Grady vs. Andy Anderson and Tyson Dean
Winners: Andy Anderson and Tyson Dean

When I realized DJ Clarke and Kyle O'Grady were taking on Andy Anderson and Tyson Dean, I took one look at them and referred to them as "sacrificial lamb 1" and "sacrificial lamb 2", and that's pretty much how the match went. Dean manhandled O'Grady, then handed him off to Anderson who picked up where Dean left off. Anderson knocked Clarke off the apron, and while the referee admonished Anderson, Dean interfered. Dean and Anderson further humiliated the opponents by not making their sacrifice quick and painless. They yelled "Come on fight back" to their prone opponents. Anderson ended it by doing pushups as he pinned one of them.

Match 4: Delicious Don vs. Colt Callaway
Winner: Colt Callaway

I realize that Colt Callaway is attempting to appear high energy and eager when he enters the ring, but all the kicking and punching the air makes him look like he's swatting away a hundred angry hornets. The match was mediocre. I've seen better from Callaway . Callaway won with a new finisher.

Match 5: Prince Akbar vs. Drew Adler for the NWA Atlanta Heavyweight Championship
Winner: Drew Adler

Akbar had a couple of weapons hidden in his knee and elbow pads which led to the referee having to check him multiple times.  Drew attempted to jump over Akbar's head. Drew tried to grab Akbar between his legs and flip him, but it didn't work. Drew slapped him. Drew put him in a headlock and grabbed his nose. Akbar left the ring. He's played the coward for a long time, and it's getting old to me.  The crowd does seem to hate him. Drew pinned Akbar after a bicycle kick.

Matt Sells came to the ring.  "How did you like seeing Drew Adler defend my Mattlanta championship. I delivered the most memorable wrestling performance you peons have ever seen. That championship would be with me if not for the actions of one man. That man is not Drew Adler. It's my former best friend, Johnny Danger. You powerbombed me from 10 feet.  I'm demanding an apology.  You took my NWA Mattlanta championship, and you're not fit to lick my boots."

Johnny Danger responded. "You want me to apologize. For over 20 years now it's been about what you want. When I suffered a concussion, I came back to wrestling because you needed me. When I dislocated my knee, I came back because you needed me. When I said I needed you, you handed me a pair of green shorts and expected me to be your cheerleader. The name Johnny Danger used to mean something in Georgia wrestling.  You told me I'd go places with you. Now you're moving onto bigger and better things. I hope it's my foot that kicks your ass out the door. NWA let us fight."

Match 6: Johnny Danger vs. Matt "Sex" Sells
Winner: Johnny Danger

Sells attacked Danger before the match started then the referee rang the bell.  Danger threw Sells into the barricade. Danger did a bulldog to Sells for a two count.  Sells did a neckbreaker then punched Danger in the face. He then kneed Danger in the face.  Sells did a cutter to Danger.  He followed that with his taunt move where he does pelvic swirls while his opponent's head is between his legs. He played drums on his head then turned him over and smashed his face into the mat.  Danger speared Sells for a two count. Sells did an abdominal stretch and played guitar on Danger's abs. He grabbed the ropes to gain leverage during this move.  Sells slammed Danger for a two count. Danger kicked Sells as Sells jumped off the turnbuckle. Danger chopped Sells in the chest, then dangerkicked him for a two count.  Sells did a stunner but only managed a two count. He wrapped around him and tried for a roll-up, but to no avail.  He did a snapmare then did his pelvic swirl, pounded their face into the mat move he's famous for.  Finally Johnny Danger won the match.  It looked like they were going to put aside their differences with a handshake and a hug, but they kicked each other in the balls. This was the most entertaining segment of the show. I will miss Matt Sells and his sense of theatrics. My sincere hope is that NWA Atlanta recognizes that Johnny Danger would be a valued asset as a fan favorite and that his tenure doesn't end because Sells is moving to another city.

Main Event: Fry Daddy and Marko Polo vs. The Bald Beautiful Besties.
Winners: The Bald, Beautiful Besties.

I have few words for the delicious horror that is the Bald Beautiful Besties theme song. It fits them perfectly, and it is mockable beyond belief.  Polo began the match against Michael Stevens. Marko spanked Stevens. He tagged in Fry Daddy and Fry Daddy did a takedown then a kick.  Polo tagged back in and he was isolated for a good portion of the match. When Fry Daddy finally got in, he did big elbows. He attempted a roll up, then did another elbow.  Marko bashed both of the Bald Besties heads together, and Fry Daddy toppled them with a suicide dive. Zac Edwards rolled up Fry Daddy for the win, but he had a handful of tights. The Besties retained.



NWA Atlanta is scheduled for another show on June 7th.

Platinum Championship Wrestling--May 17, 2014--Porterdale,GA

60 fans graced The Main Event in Porterdale, GA.  Action is starting to heat up as Platinum Championship Wrestling approaches July 4th and the annual "Revolutionary Wargames".  

Match 1: Warhorse 54 and Warhorse 4th Period vs. Geter

Winner: Geter

Geter made quick work of the two warhorses, and the entire crowd was behind him the whole time. He quickly pinned one of them with a sit-out piledriver.  

Geter took the mic and said to the crowd, "Shut your mouth and listen.  Everyone wants to know what happened to Brian Blaze. Brian Blaze is in the hospital with a bad back and a neck brace." Sylar Cross and Adrian Armour came out to gloat about how they would steal Geter's spot in the Tag Team Season because Geter no longer had a partner.  Geter challenged Armour and Cross to a match on the spot, which pleased the Porterdale crowd, but Armour and Cross cowered away.  Geter followed them upstairs angrily.  

Match 2: Deandre Jackson (w/Quasi Mandisco) vs. Morgan Davis III

Winner: Deandre Jackson

Davis began with some kicks, but Jackson came back in defense.  Mandisco interfered by choking Davis with his scarf while the referee's back was turned.  Davis was over with the crowd by the simple virtue of taking on Mandisco's man Jackson.  Jackson slammed Davis, then bowled him over. Davis sold Jackson's attacks reasonably well with his facial expressions.  Davis came back with a flurry of kicks, but Jackson took him back town. Davis evaded Jackson's clothesline and followed it with a kick.  Jackson took advantage of Davis arguing with the referee and Mandisco. He powerbombed Davis then finished with an elbow from the second rope for the win.  

This was Morgan Davis's first match with Platinum Championship Wrestling in over a year. During his last run with PCW, he was the guy that everyone kind of forgot. Hopefully this time his skills are improved and he'll make more of an impact. 

Match 3:

"Go Time" Erik Jones vs. "The Revelation" Shane Marx (w/Miss Rachel)

Winner: "The Revelation" Shane Marx

The match began with a lot of grappling. Marx put Jones in an ankle lock. Jones escaped, and he did a nice dropkick.  He tried to suplex Marx but Marx countered.  Marx missed a move and Jones kicked him. Jones covered Marx, but Marx kicked out. Marx did a back breaker, and he manhandled Jones. Marx tried desperately to get Jones to tap to his submission hold.  Jones attempted to get Marx with a sunset flip, but it failed.  

Marx punched Jones in the back, and Jones stayed down.  Marx scoop slammed Jones, then he went to the second rope but Jones rolled out of the way.  Jones did 2 enzigiris, a kick, and a headscissors take down. Marx did a spinebuster, but only got a two count.  Marx caught Jones, powerbombed him, then put him in a Boston Crab. Jones tapped. 

The voice of Casey Kincaid came over the sound system talking to Shane Marx about his turn on PCW to join the Empire in 2011.  "There's a lot of bad blood. I was there. Now you're a hero again. You're no hero. You have sins. You will face me. You're going to deal with me. See you around." 

Rachel reassured Shane, "He's not right. Things are different now." Shane replied, "You stay here. I need to deal with this." This small interaction was very well done, and it cemented the friendship between Rachel and her client Marx. 

Rachel took the microphone and said "I've got something to deal with too. Jeff G. Bailey, get your boochi shoes in the ring." Bailey responded "You've got a lot of nerve."  Rachel said, "Cut his tacky music. It's already May, soon it will be June, then our 4th of July show, the Revolutionary Wargames. No one is set up for that spot. You come up with a team. I'll come up with a team. We'll duke it out."  Jeff responded, "When I took Stephen Platinum out of wrestling, I became the kingpin here. You can't tell me who will be in revolutionary wargames. "Do or Die" Chip Day will come out here, and if her guy can beat Chip, she'll get her match." 

Match 4: Supernatural vs. Chip Day

Winner: Supernatural

Supernatural wasted no time, and the match spilled outside the ring almost immediately.  Supernatural bounced Day's head off a barricade before tossing him in the ring. Day cleared a whole bench of fans to throw Supernatural into the wall then do a kick from the bench.  Day chopped Supernatural in the corner, then repeated in the opposite corner.  The action spilled outside the ring again. Supernatural did a back stabber, covered Day, but Day kicked out at two.  Day regained control, climbed to the top rope, and stomped Supernatural's back. It looked like he'd broken Supernatural in half.  Supernatural kicked Chip. He tried to submit Chip using his full body in an octopus hold. Chip escaped, then kicked him.  Chip decided to grab the belt and hit him earning Supernatural the win by disqualification.  

Jeff G. Bailey explained that it was beneficial for his team to fight Rachel's team.  He cautioned Rachel, " I hope you have someone better than that because he was no competition for "Do or Die" Chip Day. You want war, you'll get it." 

Match 5: The Young Bloodz vs. The Washington Bullets. 

Winner: The Washington Bullets. 

This match was really good. The Young Bloodz have a good team dynamic, and the Bullets are experienced enough to make any opponent look good.  The Bullets won the match, and it was a great outing for both teams.  It was very entertaining.  Both teams shook hands after to show their mutual respect.  

Main Event: Sugar Shane and Pump Yo Brakes vs. Marko Polo and The Platinum Crusader. 

Winners: Sugar Shane and Pump Yo Brakes. 

Polo and Pump Yo Brakes began the match. Polo did an arm drag, and Pump Yo Brakes quickly exited the ring before Polo gained any momentum.  Polo scoop slammed Shane three times.  Polo was isolated for most of the match. The crusader kept trying to get in to aid his partner, but the referee kept blocking him.  The entire time the referee argued with the Crusader Shane choked Polo.  The Crusader finally made it into the ring, but as he began cleaning house, Quasi Mandisco pushed him. The referee didn't see, and Shane won the match because of Quasi's interference.  

Quasi and his hired thugs, MAIM, tied up Polo with a scarf, then proceeded to unmask The Platinum Crusader. It wasn't the real Platinum Crusader, it was Devlin Valek, returning to PCW.  The real Crusader came out with a hammer. Erik Jones came out and picked up a chair, and Valek picked up a chair. They all went after MAIM.  

PCW returns to Porterdale, GA on June 7th. 

Platinum Championship Wrestling--May 3, 2014--Porterdale, GA

62 fans graced the Main Event in Porterdale, but they were loud enough it felt like over a hundred.  What Porterdale's venue lacks in size, it makes up in the enthusiasm of its fans.

Match 1: "Dynomite Soul" Eric Walker vs. "Do or Die" Chip Day (w/ Jeff G. Bailey)
Winner: "Do or Die" Chip Day

This match had an interesting stipulation because if Walker won the match he earned the right to challenge Chip Day for the PCW title, however, if he lost it signaled the end of his PCW career.  Walker began the match with a wicked knee, and the match spilled outside quickly.  Walker slammed Chip's face into the barricade. Day rolled Walker back into the ring. Walker hit Day with a knee and followed with a backbreaker for a 2 count.  Walker boxed Chip's ears while he had him down.

 Day punched Walker in the coruner, did a snapmare, then stomped Walker in the face.  Day unsuccessfully attempted to pin Walker several times in a row.  Day did a snapmare, followed that with a kick, but missed a kneedrop.  Walker slammed Day and followed it with a knee.  Walker suplexed Day, but Day managed to kick out at 2.  Day chopped Walker in the chest, threw him into the rope, and hit him with a knee.

Walker's knee was definitely hurting him, and Day capitalized on the injury by wrapping the leg around the turnbuckle.  The two exchanged blows, and Walker was beaten down for a few minutes.  Day landed a blow to Walker's face. Walker did a dropkick, and Day was backed into the corner.  Walker did a rolling kick to Day's face and managed a 2 count.  Day repeatedly kicked Walker, but Walker gained momentum with a flying dynomite punch to Day. Walker covered Day, but Day kicked out.  Day did a tornado kick, but he only got a 2 count on Walker.

The two exchanged blows again. Day landed a big kick to Walker, and Walker answered it with a big knee. They traded slaps, then Walker did another big knee to Day.  Day kicked Walker at the top corner. Day attempted a superplex, but Walker knocked him down then flew down on him. Walker still only managed a 2 count after this awesome feat.  Walker kneed Day again, and Day went outside the ring to regain his bearings.  The referee argued with Jeff G. Bailey. Walker went for Bailey, and while the referee scolded Walker for his actions Day hit Walker with the belt. He slammed Walker and picked up the win with his treacherous ways.  Day threw Walker out of the ring like he was trash.

Bailey gave Walker some malicious parting words. "You're never going to wrestle in this ring again.  Your PCW career is over at the hands of "Do or Die" Chip Day.  There's a Burger King down the road. I'm sure they're hiring. Who's left for Chip Day to beat?" A fan asked Bailey, "Why don't you fight him?"  Bailey responded, "Why don't I come down and slap your face?"

Match 2: Sugar Shane (w/Quasi Mandisco) vs. "Go Time" Erik Jones
Winner: Sugar Shane

Quasi Mandisco riled up the audience in his usual fashion. He told one fan she smelled like menopause, and he referred to me as "dork girl."  Shane began the match by working Jones' arm.  The action spilled out of the ring. Jones slammed Shane onto the benches near the wrestlers' entrance.   Mandisco choked Jones with his scarf while the referee was distracted. He did it twice then acted like he was nowhere near the ring when the referee turned around.  Shane took advantage as he placed Jones in a headlock, but lost it again when he missed an elbow.

Shane kicked Jones in the head while he was still down. Jones answered with a kick to Shane, but both men were down.  Jones did three German suplexes to Shane.  While the referee wasn't looking, Mandisco thre a screwdriver into the ring. Shane used it to win by poking Jones in the face.

Match 3: William Huckaby (w/Joe Black) vs. Jon Williams (w/Trey Williams)
Winner: Jon Williams

The match was fast paced from the beginning with each wrestler giving as good as he got.  Williams took advantage midmatch with a good dropkick.  Huckaby left the ring for a minute to regroup, and Williams dived out of the ring onto Huckaby and knocked him down.  Williams rolled Huckaby back into the ring, covered him, but Huckaby kicked out.  Huckaby did a spinebuster to Williams, attempted a pin, but Williams kicked out.  Huckaby attempted to submit Williams, but Williams got up and elbowed him.  Joe Black interfered on Huckaby's behalf, but for his trouble he received the wrath of Trey Williams. 

Huckaby slammed Williams, but he only managed a 2 count.  Huckaby missed two punch attempts. Williams did a backbreaker then went up top. He did a flying dropkick then followed with a kick to the back of Huckaby's head.  He attempted a crossbody, but Huckaby caught him and slammed him. Williams kicked out of Huckaby's pin attempt. Williams did an off the top rope backstabber and pinned Huckaby for the win.

Match 4: Joe Black (w/William Huckaby) vs. Trey Williams (w/Jon Williams)

Williams got Black down, but Black got up. He worked Williams' arm then headbutt his hand.  Williams ran Black around the ring in an amusing manner.  Williams followed that with two armdrags and a leg drop. He then did a dropkick to Black's neck. Black left the ring to regroup. Williams tried to break Black's arm, followed that with a leg drop on the apron.  Williams did a huge suicide dive and landed on Black outside the ring.  The crowd went crazy at that daring feat.

Black stood on Williams' face. Black made pin attempt after pin attempt, but the odds weren't in his favor.  Williams landed several back elbows then a spinebuster, but still only managed the 2 count.  The referee became way too interested in trying to separate Jon Williams and William Huckaby outside the ring. Trey Williams attempted to pin Joe Black, but William Huckaby attacked the referee to break up the pin. The crowd began chanting "Cheater".  Black did a backbreaker, but only managed a 2 count.

Black and Williams exchanged blows. Williams kicked Black's face twice. William Huckaby tried to interfere to no avail. Williams won the match by stomping Black down and pinning him.

Match 5: The Platinum Crusader and Supernatural vs. Quasi Mandisco and Pump Yo Brakes

The match was originally supposed to feature Marko Polo as the Platinum Crusader's partner, however Quasi Mandisco entered to Polo's music, and we witnessed the return of Pump Yo Brakes. The Platinum Crusader was beaten down for a few moments since he did not have a partner.  Just when the audience thought the Platinum Crusader was done for, out of nowhere came Supernatural.  The fans went insane because most thought that Mandisco and his group MAIM ended Supernatural's career a few months ago.

The Platinum Crusader used Supernatural as a human weapon to knock down Pump Yo Brakes.  Supernatural and Platinum Crusader double teamed Pump Yo Brakes. Mandisco and Pump Yo Brakes tortured Supernatural outside the ring.  Supernatural remained isolated for a long time.  Pump Yo Brakes taunted the Platinum Crusader about Supernatural's inability to tag him. The referee tried to break up that argument, and in the background Mandisco choked Supernatural with his scarf.

Supernatural stomped Pump Yo Brakes' neck, and he finally tagged in the Platinum Crusader.  The Platinum Crusader took down Pump Yo Brakes with a bulldog, and Pump Yo Brakes answered with a slam.  He tagged in Mandisco who stomped the Platinum Crusasder for a few minutes. He repeatedly tried to choke the Platinum Crusader having to break the hold at the 4 count.  Mandisco tried to hit the Platinum Crusader, but the Crusader moved out of his way, and he hit Pump Yo Brakes instead. Supernatural got the win for his team with a double stomp from the top rope.

Mandisco and Pump Yo Brakes didn't take their loss well. They tied Supernatural to the ring ropes, and they attempted to unmask the Platinum Crusader.  Dynomite Soul came to Supernatural and the Platinum Crusader's aid and Mandisco and Pump Yo Brakes scattered like the rats they are.  Mandisco vowed that next time they'd get that mask no matter what.

Shane Mackey came to the ring and personally thanked "Dynomite Soul" Eric Walker for the matches he's done for PCW.  Dynomite Soul gave a heartfelt speech about the six years he's given to PCW, and he broke down in tears in the middle of the ring.

Platinum Championship Wrestling returns to Porterdale on May 17.

Platinum Championship Wrestling--April 5th, 2014--Porterdale,GA

67 people showed up to The Main Event in Porterdale, GA for PCW.  The crowd was down from last time, but they were enthusiastic.  There was a lot about the show to be enthusiastic about.

Match 1: "Hit for Hire" Bobby Moore vs. "Marvelous" Marko Polo vs. "The Revelation" Shane Marx (w/Miss Rachel).
Winner: "Hit for Hire" Bobby Moore

The ladies in the audience squealed when Marko Polo entered and took off his wrap.  What I noticed most is the transformation in Rachel. She carried herself with a different energy. She acted more like a cheerleader than an enemy. Even her hair had bounce and energy instead of the severe beauty she used to possess.  The entire match it was obvious how badly Bobby Moore wanted to get his hands on Shane Marx. Marko knocked Bobby Moore on his butt and then he and Shane Marx double teamed Moore.  Moore circled the ring for a while letting the other two wear each other down.  He attacked Rachel, and Marx came out to defend her.  Moore slammed him into the ringpost.  Marko did a side Russian leg sweep to Moore for a pin attempt. Moore assaulted Marx with elbows.  Marko broke up Moore's pin attempt. Moore attempted to pin Shane again, but he kicked out.  Moore and Marx exchanged blows to the face.  Marko came back with a giant leg drop to Shane, but only managed a two count. Shane punched out Marko, and did the Natural Selection on him, but only managed a two count.  Shane went for Bobby Moore, but Moore evaded, and Marx's spear hit Marko.  Moore knocked Shane out of the ring and stole his pin.  This match did a great job of furthering the feud between Moore and Marx. Moore is really showing the anger he feels over Rachel leaving him to remain Marx's manager, and the feud keeps getting better.

Match 2: De La Vega vs. Adrian Armour (w/Sylar Cross)
Winner: De La Vega

Adrian Armour wasted no time. He attacked De La Vega before he even entered the ring. He was right at my feet when the attack started.  Adrian took his time entering the ring. The referee got all the way to nine before he decided to enter.  Vega made the first pin attempt after an arm drag and two hip tosses, but Armour kicked out.  Armour kicked Vega in the head while he was down.  The whole crowd was behind Vega, and Sylar Cross yelled at us to "Shut up!"  Armour slammed Vega then stomped his head into the mat. He then chopped Vega in the corner.  Sylar choked Vega on the ropes while Adrian Armour cleverly distracted the referee.  Armour threw shots at Vega's midsection. Vega clotheslined Armour, but Armour knocked him back down.  Armour missed a move, and Vega capitalized for a moment, but was unsuccessful in a pin attempt.  Vega countered a suplex attempt from Armour, then he punched Armour in the face.  Armour did a knee from the second rope, but Vega kicked out of the pin at two.  Armour followed this with a sit-out powerbomb, but still only managed a two count.  Armour powerbombed Vega again, but Vega pushed him off at the pin attempt.  Armour climbed up the turnbuckle, but Vega kicked him off. Vega won the match with a top rope scissor kick.  The crowd was solidly behind Vega for the entire match, and Vega stood up to everything that was thrown at him.   He told Adrian Armour it was the third time he's been beaten by the grown ass man, and that it is time for him to get a shot at the PCW championship.  Sylar and Adrian responded to that by beating him up. Dynomite Soul came to his aid. He said that he challenged Chip Day for the championship, and that he was willing to put his career on the line. De La Vega's return to the light side has been handled flawlessly. He no longer behaves as a petulant child, and instead he's handling his business the way a "grown ass man" would.

Match 3: Warhorse "Priceless" vs. "Go Time" Erik Jones
Winner: "Go Time" Erik Jones

As Warhorse "Priceless" entered he talked to a very young girl in the audience. She was not amused by his advances, and she slapped him.  He gestured to other young girls in the audience and beckoned them towards the ring. I'd venture to say this joke was lost upon 90% of the Platinum audience, but they seemed suitably creeped out. To understand the joke, one would have to be a reader of Stephen Platinum's recent Full Disclosure writings. "Go Time" Erik Jones won the match quickly with an elbow.

Match 4: Sylar Cross vs. Jon Williams
Winner: Sylar Cross

Jon dropkicked Sylar, and Sylar left the ring.  Jon followed him.  Sylar tried to submit Jon, but he got out of the hold.  Sylar then did a giant clothesline, but only managed a two count.  Jon got in some punches. Sylar went for another submission, but Jon powered out of it.  Jon sprang off the ropes over Sylar's head, dodged Sylar's blow, and got in some of his own.  Sylar left the ring again, and Jon dived on him.  They both got back in the ring at the nine count. Jon did a splash off the top rope, but Sylar powered out of the pin.  Jon kneed Sylar in the corner. Sylar slammed Jon hard, but Jon powered out of the pin. Jon did a slingshot codebreaker to Sylar, but Sylar kicked out of the pin attempt. Sylar caught Jon's feet and locked in a Texas cloverleaf. Sylar won the match by putting Jon to sleep. Trey Williams had to come out and superkick Sylar in the head to get him to release the hold.

Quasi Mandisco came out and said he's the best thing at PCW. "This masked superhero won't ruin my plans. I'm going to sit right here until he comes out, unmasks, and shows who he is." He sat in the middle of the ring and proceeds to insult the audience. He said to a fan who wore a fake beard to imitate Bray Wyatt, "Hey dumbass. What's going on with the beard? No one loves you. Your parents don't even love you."
He then returned to the task at hand. "I'm waiting. Where are you, Platinum Crusader? Where are you, hero?"  Out came the Platinum Crusader and Quasi continued his rant "You know I'm the reason people come out to the show. You're going down a very dangerous road, messing with a very dangerous man. You remember what happened to him." Quasi pulled out Supernatural's mask. He then told everyone he believed that Johnny Danger was the Platinum Crusader and reminded the crowd of the restraining order against Johnny Danger. He said he'd take good care of Danger's wife while he was in jail. "Take off your mask. Be a good role model. Tell the Truth. All you are is a waste of time and a waste of air. Unmask." The Platinum Crusader grabbed the microphone and into it he screamed "No!" Quasi hit the Platinum Crusader with a chair and tried to rip his mask off. The Platinum Crusader tried to hit him, but Quasi rolled out of the ring.

Main Event: Trey Williams vs. Chip Day for the PCW Heavyweight Title

Chip took a while to get in the ring. He consulted Jeff G. Bailey and walked around drinking gatorade.  Chip stopped right next to me, and I asked him if he was afraid of Trey. He said "No, he looks good tonight, and I want to look at him as much as I can."

The match itself really heated up at the five minute mark. Sylar beat up Trey outside the ring while the referee spent his time making sure Trey's brother didn't interfere in the match. Chip did a big move, and he was so proud of himself that he danced in the ring. Trey did a big kick to Chip and tried to pin him with his foot on his chest, but Chip kicked out at two. Chip kicked out of a second pin attempt.  Chip kicked Trey and followed up with a knee to Trey's head, but Chip only managed a two count.  Trey and Chip exchanged kicks and knocked each other down. Trey punched Chip in the face. Chip dodged Trey's advances and landed a kick to Trey's head. Trey gave everything in this match. Trey pinned Chip, but only managed a 2 count.  Sylar interfered and allowed Chip to capitalize with a slam.  Chip got the pin with Day of the Dead.

Miss Rachel came out after the match and extended a challenge to Chip Day. Jeff G. Bailey pointed out that Shane Marx hadn't earned a title shot. Rachel answered "I don't care about a title shot." Jeff G. Bailey and Chip Day agreed to any challenge Rachel wanted and Jeff threatened Rachel. When PCW returns to Porterdale on April 19th, Shane Marx has a challenge for Chip Day. 

Universal Independent Wrestling 5th Anniversary Show--March 29, 2014--Buchanan,GA

300 wrestling fans came to the Haralson County Rec. Center in Buchanan, GA. Some were there to see UIW induct 4 members, Billy Jack, Rob Adonis, "Nightmare" Ted Allen, and "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers, into its initial Hall of Fame Class. The majority, myself included, were attracted by the prospect of seeing Pandora and Nina Monet continue their feud with Smothers Twisted Daughters in a steel cage.

Match 1: Stupid vs. Fry Daddy.
Winner: Fry Daddy

Stupid is one of the best at riling up a crowd for an opening match that I've seen. He typically opens because he has a gift for inciting hatred from the local crowds.  Fry Daddy had great energy from the moment he hit the curtain. The crowd loves Fry Daddy everywhere I've seen him wrestle, so this match worked well because it set the mood for the crowd going forward.  Fry Daddy won the match with a cutter despite Stupid's ringside companion, Tweety's best efforts to distract the referee.

Match 2: Brian Alexander vs. "The Local Scene" Josh Storm
Winner: Josh Storm

Brian Alexander is billed "From a place so dark there is no light." That's kind of cheesy, but he did impress me with the flip off the top turnbuckle at his entrance.  He also did a pretty good back breaker mid match. I'm happy that Josh Storm is back to playing the "local hero" because it's a role that suits him pretty well. Josh won the match with a kick to Alexander's head.  The Mercenary and Brad Lynch came and gave Josh a beatdown after his win.

Match 3: Chip Day vs. Chris Michaels
Winner: Chip Day

Chris Michaels really heeled it up by saying the audience didn't show him the proper respect when he entered.  Michaels slammed Day into the ringpost. Day answered with kicks.  Chris Michaels threw Chip over the rope out of the ring then tossed him into the apron.  Chip got really close to pinning Michaels. He was so close that they nearly rang the bell.  The match was fast paced with lots of action packed exchanges. Chip won the match by rolling Michaels up.  The referee pushed Michaels down presumably in retaliation for earlier problems, and Michaels claimed that he'd never come to the town again because of the disrespect from the referee.

The Smothers Sisters heeled it up during intermission telling the crowd they needed to buy their shirts and their pictures because it was unlikely anyone would see Pandora again.

Match 4: Murder One and AJ Steele vs. Terry Lawler and Billy Knight.
Winners: Murder One and AJ Steele

The match was a no disqualification, falls count anywhere match.  It was chaos.  The action spilled all over the place. It seemed pretty short, and the focus was divided between two separate matches, one that took place near ringside and one that took place on the bleachers and in various places in the crowd.  AJ Steele pinned Terry Lawler in the ring.

Semi Main Event: Brad Lynch vs. Bull Buchanan
Winner: Bull Buchanan

The stipulation for the match was "Last Man Standing".  Bull Buchanan beat Brad Lynch with the aid of loyal So Fine Mafia representative Peanut who turned on Brad and has defected to the side of good.  Rob Adonis handed Bull the belt as he took his place as new champion.

Main Event: Smothers Twisted Daughters (Izza Belle and Jessie Belle) vs. Pain and Pleasure (Pandora and Nina Monet)

The match started violently as Izza Belle slammed the door on Nina Monet and locked her inside the cage with no partner for a good portion of the match.  Pandora tried to climb the cage to get in, but Jessie Belle kept knocking her down.  Izza Belle bit Pandora's fingers to keep her from climbing the walls as well. They told a great story as Pandora tried to get in the cage while her partner was being viciously attacked by the Smothers girls. She finally got over the cage walls and jumped onto both Smothers girls from the top rope and knocked them down.  Pandora pinned Izzabelle after powerbombing her from the rope.  It wasn't over after the pin.  AJ Steele and Murder One came out and attacked Pandora and Nina Monet.  They put Pandora through a table.  Then they punched referee Stan Robinson.  Jessie Belle and Izza Belle stole the LOUIS tag team titles and left the cage. The crowd went crazy after their vicious attack on Pandora and Nina.

Universal Independent Wrestling is teaming up with Peachstate Wrestling Alliance on April 5th in Villa Rica to do a benefit show for Referee Terry Hudgins to help replace items he lost in a recent house fire.
